Are you going to attempt to buy foreign riders in order to try to stay in the WT?

What will be Kittel's goal this season? Wins or points jerseys?

Marcel his focus will mainly be on Milan - San Remo. If he turns out to be in good shape he might try to win a stage at Le Tour but we certainly don't expect him to bring the green jersey to Paris.

That's hard to tell. All teams are different and are therefor difficult to compare. At the end of the seaseon we will see which team was the strongest.

We will try to attract as many Ukrainian guys as possible. When none of them seems talented we might sign Italian riders or riders from Eastern Europe. As for staying in the WT I'm pretty sure either Moser, Novikov or Rovny will evolve this season so one of them could give us the much needed points.

I'll answer two more questions. Vien you can't ask anymore questions, just to give others a chance.

What is your opinion on each of the other WT teams?

How does the team plan to deal with it's lack of a top GC rider in the squad?

Hard to say at this moment. Most teams seem to have strong riders. I think the tactics will determine alot this season. In my opinion all WT teams are pretty much equal to eachother.

We have Cunego! Cunego will not be rider Le Tour, we don't think he has any chance there. We hope Rovny can evolve alot to be able to ride a top 10 in the Vuelta this season. Furthermore the team will try to score it points in the one day classics and smaller stage races.

That's it for the press conference, next one will be around the Tour.

Tour Down Under Review

Not much to review here.

Kolobnev rode really bad on Willunga, 60th on that stage he should've won causing him to be nowhere in the GC.

Modolo did what we expected and sprinted around the 10th place but more important he got 4th in the youth rankings, a great performance by him.

But the huge surprise was Vitaliy Buts getting 4th on Willunga Hill beating guys like Sagan. He lost some time on an earlier stage, but still he ended up 12th in the GC.

Not the tour we hoped for, but we got some points we really need.

I don't give full race reviews, only my team will get highlighted.

He won't be. Sardegna will be to gain form in order to win the Ardennes classics.

Gran Premio Costa degli Etruschi-Trofeo TMC Transformers

A one day race in Italy which resulted in the team's first win ever!
Sacha Modolo seems to be in great form and outspinted other strong sprinters like Siedler, Rasmussen and Bates.

We are ofcourse very happy with this result. Other managers now have the chance to ask 1 question to Sacha. He'll answer your questions tomorrow.

Tour of Qatar

1 4th place on a stage and alot of top 10s by Modolo. 2nd in the TTT. It doesn't sound bad until you hear we managed to get the 11th-18th places in the GC which won't give us points. Quite disappointing.

Tour of Oman

Modolo proves he's in good shape at the moment by getting alot of top 10s in Oman. Also he got quite alot sprint points and ended up 8th in the youth classification.

Grivko had an 11th place after the stage on Green Mountain, but after the TT he came in 5th. In the last stage he got passed thanks to bonus seconds but 6th overall is really good for him and the team.

Giro di Sardegna

Cunego's first race of the year and he took a stage! He aslo got third in the GC. Seventh in the GC was the surprising Gustov who managed to hang on for a long time. Moser was once again proving he will be a GT contender some years from now by getting third in the youth classification.

We are ofcourse very happy with how things came along here on Sardegna.

Classica Sarda Sassari – Cagliari

A hilly classic in Italy dominated by two guys from Switzerland. But somehow we can say Modolo rode his best race of the season by getting third there. He isn't known to be a good climber but he managed to stay with Veikkanen and Kuyckx and outsprinted them at the line. Great result!

March preview pt. 1

March is the month of Milano Sanremo, which is one of our target races this season.

But first Giro del Friuli

We'll send a strong squad here with Cunego, Modolo and Pozzato as leaders. Pozzato mainly to get in form for the cobbled classics. We aim to win this race and should be able to do so. The rest of the team: Moser, Sella, Grabovskyy, Grivko and Buts.

After that we go to the white gravel roads of the Strade Bianche. Cunego will be our leader there and aim for victory. He'll be assisted by Pozzato, Moser, Krivtsov, Popkov, Gustov, Grivko and Abakoumov.

Then it's time to visit France for the tour to the sun: Paris - Nice. We aim for nothing here. We send Pozzato to gain form for the classic and Modolo for a possible stage, but we don't count on it too much... The others going here will be Sella, Buts, Grivko, Popkov, Bileka and Grabovkyy.

Part 2 will follow.

March preview pt. 2

At the time Pozzato is training in France, the Tirreno - Adriatico will also start. We aim for nothing less than the win in the GC here with our leader Cunego. Also we'll send Kittel here to snatch some a stage and more importantly to get in form for Milano - Sanremo. We also send the Efimkin brothers, Khalilov, Abakoumov, Gustov and Novikov, who will try to win the youth classification.

A few days after the Tirreno has ended the longest race of the season, Milano - Sanremo will start. Kittel will try to win this race. He'll be assisted by Modolo and Pozzato. Cunego will try to break lose when Kittel is in bad shape. The other guys we send are Moser, Khalilov, Gustov and Grivko.

Also held in March: the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya. Sella will aim to get a top 10 here. Kittel will try to win some of the bunch sprints. The others going to Spain are Popkov, Gustov, Buts, Bileka, Krivtsov and Novikov.

At the same time there is also one of our target races, the Settimana Coppi e Bartali. Because we have three races at the same thime we only send six riders here. Cunego simply has to win there. We also send Modolo, Moser, Khalilov, Arashiro and Alexander Efimkin.

And in late March there is the classic weekend with the E3 Prijs Harelbeke and Gent - Wevelgem. We send the same eight guys there and Pozato'll try to get top fives in both. He'll be assisted by Grivko, Vladimir Efimkin, Brutt, Metlushenko, Rovny, Kruopis and Abakoumov.
