What I like the most in this Tour de Suisse is that the strongest riders are in front. Maybe Popovych was stronger than 1-2 ahead of him, but no crashes influenced the result and also nobody got blocked or so.
Velits struggled a bit so does Devolder but they are not as strong as the 80+ riders.
Will probably continue to report 1 stage a day. So stay tuned for the next tomorrow. |

Good stage from Fothen. Too bad the big gaps didn't occur, as I could use every second, to get a podium here. Pluchkin is just stronger, so 2nd is what we will be chasing. Nice to be on the podium, which usually means that the riders will be helped towards the front of the pack. I won't put money on that to happen in my case though.
2nd here would make up for the shitty result of Dauphine.

Staying on the podium is good.

Another good stage performance from Fothen, but it kinda sucks that there are no time gaps, especially seeing that Fothen was really poor on the opening TT. This one is long, and with good riders such as Tenorio and Popovych less than a minute away, I could easily end up with Fothen outside of the podium.
Fingers are crossed though, as it would be very important to get a top result, af the bad luck of Dauphine.

Intyxausti hasnt been too impressive in the finale of the stages, but up to 7th overall, with the TT to come, should mean a decent enough result

A top 10 for Ardila would be awesome. But it will be pretty hard to keep it in the final tt.

Hoping to nab those 2 seconds to Tenorio in the TT. But then, I don't know how any of the other GC riders rate in the TT area.

Keizer doing absolutely nothing. Burghardt and Grabovski are doing way better then him and they have 71 mountain and equal hills, i don't even get it.

For som reason, Keizer is only seen as a TTer it seems. But 77 MO and 71 HI is a bit strange combination, so perhaps he needs som training in both to even bother.
On the final TT Fothen should be good on paper with 73 FL, 82 MO, 75 Hi, 78 TT and 80 RES, but his performance in the opening TT was very concerning.

This was a target race for us. I doubt that Gomez Marchsnte will be able to hold on to his top 10 in the TT, but Tschopp should hang onto the KoM. Very happy with that, since he is Swiss and all.

Tenorio is three points better, but Popovych is the better hilly and flat rider so it mat well be touch and go.

Nice to see Ginanni in a break - what the hell Abal and Pozzo doing I don't know - taking it easy because they have team mates up the road is the only thing I can think of.
Both have a chance of moving up in the TT - still even if they do move up they've both been poor here. |

Oh rats. Here I was hoping that Tenorio might be a Rodriguez type Spaniard... Well, may the best rider win!

Appreciate Kadri's great win, but Sinkewitz ... how can one be so useless? |

It's going to be a very nice time trial with the GC so close, which is pretty typical for the Tour de Suisse in real life in the last couple of years.
Clever stuff from Pendleton's really rescuing something from the race by having two riders from the team in there. Ginanni was always looking a massive favourite there from that break. Dare I say it he is actually having quite a good season.

I suppose nothing can go wrong now. At least I don't ever think I have witnessed a crash in a TT in this game?
So looks like Pluchkin is in for his 3rd GC win of the season and a big points push
