A pretty boring day in the saddle after 4 riders got up the rode and not one from Saxo the final hill proved a big disspointment with the pace not being strong enough to drop any of the main sprinters leaving the way clear for a sprint finish. And leopard trek's Daniele Bennati proved himself to be the strongest by Powering away from hometown favourite Anothony Ravard with Hushovd, Ventoso and our JJ Haedo in behind in 5th

The end of today would turn out to be a good one for Team Saxo Bank as shown here coming off the final climb around 80 riders had managed to keep in the peleton unfourtuanatly Jean - Eudes - Demaret had kept himself up there meaning Saxo Bank would not be pushing the pace up to get back to the 5 riders up the road Kreuziger, Trofimov, Sanchez, Martens and D Martin.
As such Kreuziger and Trofimov fought out the finish and the Czech rider came home as the winner he needs 2"44 on the peleton to be in the yellow jersey tommorow.
And he managed to get that by "14 seconds" meaning Trofimov keeps 1 second behind him in 2nd and Sorensen moves up to 4th place in the GC a great result for the Dane although tommorow is another difficult stage were he will need to be at his best.
