That's odd. It's 64km and pan flat.

Surely not. A box of Rothaus beer if Hesjedal stays on his 5th spot. And another one if we double our stage wins to 2.
Sorry
So none of you guys will get free beer now.
At least Velits and Blank climbed a bit in the overall now and 3rd in the tem rankings. But nothing compared to a possible top 5.
@mb2612: There is really a 9th stage? I thought this would have been the last actually. I have seen the 9 stages in the calendar but not anywhere else. Hope it`s not one of these criteriums where more crashes will happen.

A shame that Tennant lost time, but Froome's safety is the important part.
You made the race Roturn, so you should know what the 9th stage is like Yeh, it was a mistake that it was left off the profile image, but its down as 9 stages in the race planners.

True. Just checked my stage folder and saw it.
Could have sworn that it`s a 8-day-race. Haven`t played it that often. Especially not in the last time.
So for all here`s the last profil:
Indeed a short ~6km circuit in the end, which is ridden 3 times. Hopefully without bigger crashes. |

McCarthy getting 10th is a good result, granted the crashes played a part. Still good riding from the youngster.

I really enjoyed racing that far more than I expected too, the race was much more interesting than the profiles suggested.

Thanks for the reports, mb2612! And congrats to valverde321 and Meji! Still... can't say, that I had many reasons to enjoy this race: turned out into a huge disappointment for Oz Cycling

Froome looked comfortable once he took the lead, although the potential for time bonuses for the sprinters kept it open in the minor places to the end. A pretty interesting race, with some great reporting. |

As said this was a remarkably interesting race despite what the profiles would suggest. And hooray! Another Meiji win!

Congrats to Meji,Rapha and to this interesting race in the general. Froome seized it in the first two days and then just relaxed.

Always nice to see a Meiji rider winning.
Now let's move on from this, in terms of our result, crap race. But nevertheless, great reports mb2612!

I saw someone walking around in a shirt from Meiji today and was highly amused. The Man Game is taking over my life.

It can feel like that when you do a Grand Tour mate!
Southland was a mild disappointment for me, I had hoped to do a little better and few crashes seem to hurt me slightly (though not as badly as others). Still a stage win, 4th place and mountains jersey is nothing to be scoffed at. Froome and Claeys where a different class on stage 2 which seemed to decide things on the GC.
Lots of crazy muddled sprints, but with no clear lead outs that was always going to be the case.

Nice 4th by Baumann. Finally a race where a sprinter did well for me.
Unlucky with Hesjedal`s crash. Top5 would have been awesome, 9th is still not that bad plus a stage win and 3rd in the KoM and team ranking.
And the race was surely more interesting than thought as I never played it with PCM11. In PCM10 it would have been a really boring race.
Great reports mb2612. |
