UCI performed no blood tests during Amgen Tour of California. And neither in the Tour of Utah or the USAPCC.

No surprise there. So many people involved with american cycling authorities have suggested lately that the corruption is deeper there than it's ever been.
There's been talk of positives being concealed even.

No surprise there considering Contador's positive wouldn't have been known if it hadn't been leaked by a German journalist.

You mean the UCI is purposedly keeping positives from the public to prevent further damage to the image of cycling?
WHO WOULD HAVE EVER GUESSED THEY DO THAT!!

that is not first time..when Bruyneel pulling plug off when things start to move away from under control.
I still believe that Discovery end was not that..what they saved it was. No sponsors.
Bruyneel is scum and lier...always will be |

Separation of powers is the basis of democratic systems.
Here UCI is justice, making rules and deciding & controlling. Perfect ground for mass corruption. I'm not fond of conspiring theories, but it's obvious a lot of what we've known shouldn't have been known (the Armstrong scandals we've gotten being an example, Contador is another). How much more has been hidden ?
Controls should be separated from the governing body. Be it for testing, analysing profiles and deciding who to target, or announcing positive tests. |

Have you never wondered why many big fish never get caught and occasionaly they let a smaller fish get caught to prove 'the system works'?
I did, many times. And I always think...if guys like that (smaller fish) get beaten so often with doping, than the top guys can't be all clean...
But hey, I stopped caring about that a long time ago anyway. I do believe the sport is a lot cleaner now than it was 5 years ago and definately 10 years ago. But there's still corruption. |

Totally agree with Ruben (but then I'm original a Limbo as well (non_dutch probably don't understand))

A few more calendar changes: Lombardia will move to September (the week after the Worlds), Tour of Beijing said to move to mid-October. |

Giro di Lombardia is also changing name, to Il Lombardia. Indeed, messing with traditions is not funny.

The route, name and date have changed, so basically, it's a new race. Lombardia is gone.
