And now the million dollar question: How bad is Contador's injury?
Does he lose half an hour, ten minutes, or nothing?
Judging by the last few days I'd say 2 minutes.
He says that he will be on the defence himself, but the grin on Bjarne Riis' face when the reporter asked "What are you looking the most forward to for tomorrows stage" - pretty much gave it all away. Contador is in SUPERB condition, and Bjarne Riis is just awaiting him to wipe his ass in the Luxembourgian diaper tomorrow.
I estimate Contador takes about 1min on Evans and Schleck who will come in together, with Basso, Gesink, Frank, Cunego and Sanchez a little bit later.
Looking forward to see what De Weert can do. He seems pretty good.
Gesink? Same Gesink that wanted to abandon this race? He could be feeling beter than he was feeling on Super-Besse, but there is no way he will finish with contenders group tomorrow. I see him losing 3-4 minutes and arriving with guys like Ruijgh and/or De Weert.
Also, why everybody is so excited about Evans? He has become hilly classics rider first, so he will be a very happy man, if he doesn't lose any significant time tomorrow.
He's been looking better and better for every day. I don't think he'll manage to keep up with the Contador and the Schlecks, but I don't see him losing three minutes tomorrow.
I can only hope so. I'm not sure. It's always a guess, he still has pain in his back and that's where the power to turn the legs comes from. It's going better and better though. But he could possible 'only' finish top 15/20 tomorrow instead of being with the 10 best |

Was reading on Marca that Samuel Sanchez would have an alliance of some sort with Contador. Don't know how that could work out though.
Yeah, it seems like if they attack they will work together on full, or at least that is what Marca says. You shouldn´t really believe them, they´ve called Van Den Broeck something like Vandenbruckr or something like that, as well as the "american" Tony Martin... Marca has big errors about cycling...

But there is strong possibility..when they find himself at the situation when working is benefit for them both..stage win presents ..etc..they will go. Spaniards you know..like Contador - Valverde deals |

Two or three days ago I thought about the same thing. Maybe an attack on some descent. |

well contador would first have to dare following Sanchez in a decent. The way ive seen him downhilling sometimes
prevent hangovers --> stay drunk
pozzato, basically the most stupid cyclist around

For me it's not the worst variant if Samy goes alone.
But seriously,I thought about some sort of attack like Di Luca and Savoldelli did in Giro 2008. |

Moncoutié is a good bet for tomorrow. But Nieve will it have it very, very hard to do anything tomorrow.

Hagen said he's going to try it in break, and if not then he will be there helping Uran.

De Weert, the most underrated climber ever? He's been up there in the other difficult stages and last year too.

De Weert is lying in 14th at the moment, he can even get inside the top-10 tomorrow... |

Unfortunately I can`t watch the stage tomorrow.
But I don`t think that the favourites will attack. Maybe on the last 2km, but not before imo.
I think riders like Moncoutie and Charteau will attack tomorrow to join the fight for the KoM jersey. Charteau also to help Europcar with the pace.
Also riders like Sörensen, Roux, Iginsky, Tiralongo or Riblon could give it a try. All of them finished almost 6min behind today. A good puffer for them. |

Which one of them?
The Heroes: Domenico Pozzovivo & Igor Antón Hernandez

Well Nicki Sörensen is not unrealistic, but i doubt that any from Saxo get permission to a breakaway.

Yeah, but in these mountain stages, Chris's name is the first one to pop up. |

I meant C.A.Sörensen.
Not sure about him tomorrow. With the Spaniards, Porte and the Sörensens there are more helpers than Contador normally needs. So I could imagine, that he get his freedome on the first mountain stage. |

Quite a long wait for this year's first mountain stage. Hopefully it will be worthed.
And I think it's time for Evans to find his excuse for this year for not performing well in the high mountains.

Finally it's here, mountains!
I really hope Kreuziger is already ok. He lost time in every stage from his fall, but he said he should be ok and that he will try to get himself to a break tomorrow. And I hope so as well. There will be massive package of points for the polka dot jersey competition and I think the break has some good chances of being successful. But we will see..
And the battle for the yellow jersey? I think Voeckler won't keep his jersey and we will definetely see some attacks from favourites. And Contador will loose some time to Andy IMO. And one of Schlecks will take the yellow, which one? I think more possibly Frank..
