It is now time for the final stage of the Tour Down Under!
Tour Down Under - Stage 6
The stage is reasonably flat with a few steep short climbs.
After a very bad stage the last race, M. Barry will try to finish his quest for the Mountains Jersey as he is 8 points behind right now with 2 climbs today. Lance Armstrong will just try to finish with the peloton in order to finish the race with a win.
Attacks begin from the very start of the race. As the race gets down to 80km to go 16 riders lead the race by 1:10.
Sprint 1 - 58km to go
Spoiler 1. D. Vigano (LTR)
2. W. Mol (VAC)
3. R. Perez Moreno (EUC)
With 51km to go now, 16 leaders lead the peloton by 1:25.
Mountain Sprint 1 - 48km to go

3. W. Mol (VAC)
19 leaders now lead by 1:10 however that only lasts about 5 more km as with 35km to go the peloton is together again to sprint for the final 2 sprints of the day.
Sprint 2 - 32km to go

Mountain Sprint 2 - 22km to go

With just 5km to go there is a huge crash at the rear of the peloton. The only M&M rider involved was K. Lacombe. The race is nearing its conclusion now and everybody sprints to the line! Alessandro Petacchi brings home the stage win!
