In order to create a team within a certain budget I have though of these riders:
Philippe Gilbert
Cadel Evans
Damiano Cunego
Jurgen van den Broeck
Chris Horner
Geraint Thomas
Thomas Voeckler
Rein Taaramae
Bjorn Leukemans
Is that a good bet?
I have some riders I really want in my team, but they are also very expensive:
Samuel Sanchez
Alexandre Vinokourov
Nicolas Roche
Sylvain Chavanel
Robert Gesink
Edvald Boasson Hagen
Any of those riders a must, or any of the 9 picked you would sort out straight away?
Remember it's not just about picking the winner, but every place from 1-20 give a good amount, the jerseys also give something.

I think he could get a top 3. But I wonder if Sky will give him the chance to go for it. They might be more interested in protecting Wiggins and keeping Thomas in the white jersey (as Tony Martin could be a threat to that tomorrow). |

Yeah, thought about that as well. He would be a good bet though, if he had a free role |

He isn't eligible for white anymore.

How do you see Peter Velits and Chritophe Riblon for tomorrow, do you think they will have the skills and power to keep up the.
Also I believe that we will see a Contador in an attacking position, read Chris Anker Sorensen blog, and he touched a bit about this subject, also Riis said he was exiting for tomorrow.

Having two Luxembourgians sucking his wheel won't help him |

Depends on how fast he is, I hope they have a little trick up in their sleaves to get them off him, before an attack

So tomorrow the final 5 kms looks like this:
5 to 4 km = downhill
4 to 3 km = climb avg 7%
3 to 2 km = downhill
2 to 0,6 km = climb avg 8-9% I think (steepest)
last 600m = false flat avg 2%
So they have to hit it early on that steepest part, cause otherwise guys like rojas, hushovd or dumoulin will have a chance. I think Contador will attack there, with Cadel and Phil on his tail, so It wont be a problem to shake the sprinters.
I hope Cadel will take yellow and hang onto it at least till stage 12. That will be really nice |

Horner over Kloden with that one, given that this course is vaguely similar to the first stage, where Horner did rather well. Also Roche over Martin I would think.

I wouldn't bet on Roche, has he really done anything this year? Also Martin came in 10th in the first stage, so his form seems to be ok. |

Wasn't Klöden 7 on the first stage?
