Rumor has it that if Cavendish proves to be too expensive, Project 1t4i could be moving their attention towards Daryl Impey. The relationship between the Dutch team and RedBull is a good one after Josh Cooper's transfer last season.
Do Red Bull have an official statement regarding this matter?
We thank all the teams who have registered an interest in our riders. To clarify our valuations that these are initial estimates of the lowest we would accept for these riders and we are probably only looking to sell four or five riders at most.
Unfortunately after discussions with the sponsors our esteemed friends at Evian will take note particularly high end estimates on our two remaining French riders.
Red Bull have no qualms about Daryl Impey leaving for a ProTour team and we would look favourably on a part exchange style deal. Riders like Vaugranard and Minard come to mind as sweeteners.
Daniel Moreno had a good year in the CTour last year, he is particularly interested in leading a smaller team in some of the CTour races. He is probably torn between that and dreams of a stage victory at the Vuelta. We understand newly formed teams have little else but money to offer, we do feel that 400,000 for a guy capable of podiuming at Langkawi is a good price.
For now of course we wait for the transfer season to begin

Man, that lucky steal still bothers you a bit, right?
I might have to disappoint you, though. Impey is a very interesting rider for his wage, but with our relatively limited budget, we have to invest in anything but sprinters first if Minard doesn't really sweeten the deal massively.
