First stage in the hills today, should be a difficult day for race leader Geslin

i648.photobucket.com/albums/uu204/Ste117_2009/PCM0002-14.png

Start earlier today

i648.photobucket.com/albums/uu204/Ste117_2009/PCM0003-15.png

Today's break gained a maximun advantage off 10 minutes before been caught with 17km to go. FDJ wroked very hard on the front to minnimize attacks are put alot of pressure on the other possible threats.

i648.photobucket.com/albums/uu204/Ste117_2009/PCM0004-13.png

Time gap back to the peleton and group contents.

i648.photobucket.com/albums/uu204/Ste117_2009/PCM0005-15.png

Geslin didn't have a lead out man today so we decided to sit on Pozzato's wheel hoping he can drag us to the line.

i648.photobucket.com/albums/uu204/Ste117_2009/PCM0006-12.png

A Euskaltel double with Nieve winning ahead of Sanchez, Geslin had chosen the wrong wheel and fell along way back.

i648.photobucket.com/albums/uu204/Ste117_2009/PCM0007-12.png

Col de Mure could be the deciding hill today,it's the type of finish that could suit Casar providing there's stilla group at the top of the Mure.

i648.photobucket.com/albums/uu204/Ste117_2009/PCM0008-12.png

Start earlier today, Geslin shoud have his last day in yellow today.

i648.photobucket.com/albums/uu204/Ste117_2009/PCM0009-10.png

First breakaway attempt, this group contained Sastre, Hincapie, Pauriol, but with Sastre here the group was never really allowed to go.

i648.photobucket.com/albums/uu204/Ste117_2009/PCM0010-9.png

Time gap back to the peleton

i648.photobucket.com/albums/uu204/Ste117_2009/PCM0011-11.png

After the first break was caught 4 men got away, Pauriol was the instigator in the group forming.

i648.photobucket.com/albums/uu204/Ste117_2009/PCM0012-8.png

Time gap back to the peleton, the group maintained a gap around the minute mark before been caught before the Col de Mure.

i648.photobucket.com/albums/uu204/Ste117_2009/PCM0013-9.png

Peleton split under the pressure of the favourites teams on the lower slopes of the Mure, all the main contenders were here.

i648.photobucket.com/albums/uu204/Ste117_2009/PCM0014-8.png

Gap back to the rest, there was no chance of anyone coming up to this group.

i648.photobucket.com/albums/uu204/Ste117_2009/PCM0015-7.png

A group of 7 favourites went clear, this is were the winner will come from.

i648.photobucket.com/albums/uu204/Ste117_2009/PCM0016-8.png

Gap back to the outsiders, if anyone wanted to try to make it to this group they would of had to be strong as Casar set a high tempo all the way up the climb.

i648.photobucket.com/albums/uu204/Ste117_2009/PCM0017-7.png

On the drag to the finish, Casar had the TT in mind tomorrow and attacked to gain more time, he really wants this win today and a high placing this year.

i648.photobucket.com/albums/uu204/Ste117_2009/PCM0018-6.png

In an attack similar to his win in the Strade Bianchi, he takes the stage win but unfortunatley coudn't gain time on Leipheimer who was second and takes over the yellow jersey.

Usually when you crop the image, upon saving it should give you a couple options, just under where you chose the name of the file. For you it will probably say .png, just click that and chose . jpeg or .jpg .

A cobbled finish shoud suit our leader for today's race Steve Chainel.

i648.photobucket.com/albums/uu204/Ste117_2009/PCM0002-16.jpg

Big break today which contained Meersman of FDJ, the break pulled out a maximum advantage of 8 minutes before been caught with 20km to go.

Wonderful finish on a small stetch of cobbles, really unique and Chainel was the first across the line, his first win of the season.

Group of 18 formed what was thought to be the initial breakaway, but the peleton felt it was too big and risky to let go and it was quickly brought back.

Rene Mandri went away after that, he put in a big effort to stay away but he was brought back with 15km to go.
