Ive tried installing this way:
Patch 1.4.1
Expansion Pack V2
2011 Updater
Still crashed and now no logos and pink blocks for all teams.

It is working good to me!
My solution was copying the files from the new folder to the main PCM folder. And it works

I go into Computer/localdisk/programfiles/cyanide
an theirs an extra cyanide folder their an then the normal PCM folder.

My game is working, it was the extra Cyanide folder inside the origional Cyanide folder that held all the update data, so I copied the files over into the PCM folder and no crashes when viewing stage profiles and I have all the shirts, logos instead of pink blocks.
Thanks to everyone who have posted in here and helped me, yous have all helped in some way, and thanks to Crue and the rest of the team for taking so much time out of their days/weeks to create this Beta version, Thank you

Ok I seem to have the same problem lots of others seem to have... the pink logos.
Can somebody please tell me step by step how to get this problem fixed? I have installed PCM and then all the patches, after that PCMdailyExpansionPackV2.. Then the PCMdaily2011DB-2010-11Updater... so what am I doing wrong? please help me out.. |

DO what the guy above you did. In Program Files go to Cyanide and then theres another folder called Cyanide inside, then PCM10. Move all the folders in there to your real PCM10 folder and everything should be alright.

That's the way I did to. The DB came in a new folder called 'PCM.daily's 2011 DB Public Beta (2010 Updater)´. You have to move all that files to your main PCM folder. Then I will work. |

Yes, this is a problem with the installer I assume because it seems everyone is getting it. Also I don't really like this installer that much Mike. It takes much longer to open than the other ones you used before, and when its installing the files, it goes from 0%-100% in 10 seconds and then stays there at 100% until the files are actually all done transfering.

Im still having problems. I tried to reinstall 3 times. I solved my pink issues by copying the files into the primary folder. But my game still crashes in the australien championships.
Can anyone help?

Hello.
I only have one problem for the moment.
I can't play Tour de France. When i select on any of stages between 3 and 15 more or less, i gue crash. I can play any other race ok.
I have been checking and it seems like the patch doesnt come complete. It has missing stages. I have downloaded the split from megaupload. The 4 links version.

About the installer:
1. It will try to automatically find your PCM-folder. If it fails, it will install itself to a standard folder. This seems to be set wrongly. Either way, it's wise to always check what folder it installs to.
2. If you manually change the destination folder, it might add "PCM.daily's 2011 DB Updater" or something like that. If it does, just remove it or manually move the files afterwards.
3. (Especially for Valverde) - you don't have to install files to make a installer work. If it doesn't work, it's being blocked by your firewall, antivirus program, your security settings (e.g. not being the administrator) etc.
4. I know about the "100 % and still installing" thing, but that's just a minor visual problem.

5. The Bug Reports thread is now up to 4 pages, yet there are only 5 or 6 posts related to actual bugs. Having trouble installing the DB is not a bug - we have a FAQ thread and a Technical forum for problems like that. Messing up the Bug Reports thread just makes it a lot more difficult for to find the "proper" info that I need when making the final version.

Alfster: If it crashes at the Australian Road Race Championship, you have failed to install the V2 correctly. Try to install it again, or download the full version of the 2011 Public Beta DB.
Hache: The Tour de France stages are included with the DB. That's all I can say. Try to reinstall.
Maddrengen: You have to re-download the files. It's wise to use a download manager to avoid corrupted downloads.
