This made me fear a crash (for Devolder), but I'm happy with the 2nd overall. With Cancellara not messing up, he was the clear favourite pre-race, and he lived up to that. Devolder was the best of the rest, and that's good enough.

Very nice way to finish the race. Getting an extra 10 points here, and also climbing to 3rd in the points competition. Too bad he didn't take 3rd here though, as I reckon that would've given Sammy 11th in the GC also

But this race has exceeded all expectations. 12th GC, a stagewin, a 2nd place, a 4th place, winning the mountains competition and getting 3rd in the sprint competition. It has turned out to be one of my better races. I'm happy I didn't select Sam Bewley here, as that could've interfered with Sammy's performance (Like last year). Very happy!

Also, I might take a bit back on Pearl here, so it's really heads up in the final races

Updated Team Rankings

Sony Ericsson can now breathe easily once again, they really shouldnt be cuaght now - but the battle for 2nd is still there, between La Gazzetta, Pearl and Festina. Wikipedia have retained their hopes of a Top 5 finish, but will struggle if Schleck goes well in the season ending races.

Auber's hopes of a season ending Top 10 are boosted as they climb to 7th, but the next 5 teams down to Lipton are still all right in the battle for the Top 10. Philips stay 13th, Carmeuse jump up to 14th, and so Cafe de Colombia and Nespresso drop down one. Its really not looking good for Energie-Diesel now though.

I have a hard time seing neither of Pearl and myself being able to catch La Gazzetta as they are almost surely getting a top 3 in the TT race and probably also outscores us in the final race...
