The Italian Cycling Union FCI is going to give Ricco a life ban.
"There is no excuse for what he has done. For his own safety he has to stop professional cycling. He must find an escape out of this perverse situation and find himself as human again." |

Sad for him, but at the same time it would be the best for him to stop with competetive sport and instead focus on his personal life and get a good health. |

Can't Riccò afford a doctor to avoid things like this? Damn, if you're going to dope, at least do it under medical supervision, jackass.
Wasn't this going to be the next step sooner or later? At first, EPO needed medical supervision, later the athletes started injecting it themselves. Next up: (as Ruben said) do it yourself-blood injections. |

Well, it isn't the same to take medicines by your own than to extract, storage and later reinject a blood bag by yourself. However, judging by the house where Eufemiano used to live in (in Spanish, but you can get the point), it could save you quite a few euros.
And nice to see you're better Mike |

On the Telegraaf website there is a poll today which goes:
Het wielrennen is zo verdorven, het zal nooit een schone sport worden. (cycling is a rotten sport, it will never be a clean sport)
88% agrees. Just shows you the general opinion on cycling these days, after yet another news article on doping in cycling. |

Yeah, but that's typical Telegraaf. Those are the same people that vote Wilders and think all Muslims should be sent back to their countries.
Ignorant, dumb, annoying people with other words.
The fact that cycling actually cares, and catches dopers, as opposed to the doped up super stamina footballers from European top clubs where nobody cares about. |

They are a large majority in the Netherlands.

Totally agree with you.

Vacansoleil suspended Ricco after tests obviously proved that he did have a blood transfusion.
Now a prison term up to 3 years can expect him as the Italian anti doing law is very strict.
Could hopefully be a good sign for other riders to react more intelligent than Ricco did.

Ricco is a complete fool, he will never learn, he needs a lifeban, he will only try to do it again after his 4 year ban, he is an idiot. Ricco is obsessed with winning, he will do anything to win, doesn't care about the sport, its fans and his health as long as he wins and is the best, the guy needs to get a grip of life. Of course everyone wants to win but if you aren't capable of been the best which he isn't he needs to settle back and realise how lucky he is to have a contract at a Pro Tour team. There are many cyclists out their who would love a Pro Tour contract or a professional contract, Ricco is waste of space. I knew he would try an dope again.

Usually those are either for the back numbers to watch (if you don't know what the riders to look after look like), either for the position of KOM, intermediate sprints, or dangerous areas. |
