Flip, I'm not going to do it, and this is despite being 4th now.
Only Ventoso has races left really, and like Abal, he has shown he only cares for the Pro tour
You have seemingly raced Ventoso in hilly races, and flat sprint stages. He needs hilly sprint stages one feels!
Well both Montreal and Vattenfalls should be pretty good for him, but I'm not expecting anything

I did need that projection to reassure me. it'll still be close though and hopefully i'll make it to the protour, however teams are allowed. |

Vattenfalls is flat, so at best, it could be pretty good for him. Could rather than should, because flat one day CT classics this year can be atrosciously bad for sprinters at times

Santanders ace in the hole may be the Vuelta Chihuahua - having put together the startlist for that one the field is small (5 teams). Fair enough really given that Pendletons, Milka and Bacardi managed to pillage the pointfest in Luxembourg.
There really is nothing now between 3rd and 15th - those places can change quite massively there are 22 races left, 5 at which are of the HC category. Going to be a very entertaining climax with plenty of reporters joining in the fun!

I agree, Red Bull are still a danger, they will pick up a lot of points in America.
while Chihuahua could be good, but at the same time, those mountain stages are going to be very unpredictable, without a big finish climb, so it could easily go badly

Hopefully my team didn´t say last word yet, except of Missouri (due to newbie unexperience I´ve sent weak team there) I can still make a lot of points in a battle for TOP10
may I Isk how many teams are participating in Franco Belge and Tour du Faso?

its such a compelling battle in the CT this year, Pendleton's look a good bet to resurface near the top, but its all so tight anything can happen.

Goss should do good in Franco Belge, but his last decent sprint was the Clasica Almeira. Races after that, he didn't sprint at all or he had a terrible position. In Faso i have Nazon and Kuchinski maybe for a surprise result, but i doubt it. Rly need Ricco to score a lot of points in every upcoming race.

Pendletons and Bacardi have plenty of action left, it would seem a given that Gilbert and Ricco will perform well in the hilly ones they have left. Ricco especially in his Italian ones. With those two teams of course both riders will be at the season ending Japan Cup. Which means that it really could go right down the the wire - 21 teams there which will make it a hell of a crap shoot.
Anyway a lot for them depends on Van Heerden (Pendletons big sprinter) and Matt Goss (Bacardi) are big time sprinters with plenty of potential for big results - but sprinting is soo hit and miss. (actually part of the problem is that there are loads of really good sprinters in the CTour). Faso is looking pretty ropey for Bacardi I have to say.

It's really nice to see my team still in top 10 after this race and possibly in top 10 in the end of the season. But still - I don't think I can finish that high in the standings in the end of the season. Hushovd has only Missouri, Vattenfall and Duo Normand left and Efimkin has only 6 classics left where he can make some points. So I need some big results from Casper, Forero, Vanderaerden and De Gendt as well.
