Vuelta a Andalucia: Stage 1
A day for sprinters in Andalucia, where Cancellara should have no problems keeping the leader's jersey as there are no bonification seconds on the road, while Pedersen starts as the big favorite to take the stage win
In the last five kilometers of the stage, Cancellara showed what he is made of and under his lead - out a split was made between the CSC train, made for Martin Pedersen, and the rest of the pack
Pedersen was put in a great position by Cancellara and Arvesen, and under the one kilometer banner, he took the lead from the Norwegian Champion and headed to the finish line with no pressure on his shoulders
At the finish, Pedersen and Arvesen were celebrating a perfect day, with a complete podium for CSC, Cancellara also hanging on to take the third place!

Is that what you call a good start of the race?

Yes, it is
But seriously, there's like no competition in this race

Vuelta a Andalucia: Stage 2
Another day for sprinters in Spain and the main question at the start of the stage was 'Can CSC repeat yesterday's performance'?
Again, in the closing kilometers of the stage, Cancellara was leading the pack, but with a very strong head wind it was impossible for the CSC riders to make the split. Also, Pedersen (in the blue jersey) wasn't looking to good, as he wasn't able to take Arvesen's wheel
It was Ferrari who interfered with the CSC train, taking Arvesen's wheel. The Italian put in a very strong sprint and he was in the lead before entering the final kilometer of the stage
But that happened only because Pedersen was expecting the perfect moment to take the lead and with 350 meters to go, the Dane made his move and moved in front of Ferrari
And it is stage win number two for Pedersen, who is definitely enjoying the weak field here in Andalucia! Ferrari finished second, with Arvesen taking another podium place for CSC in third
Pedersen and Cancellara are dominating the race so far - plenty of reasons for both of them to raise their hands and celebrate at the finish line
Stage
1. Martin Pedersen Team CSC 4h05'27 2. Roberto Ferrari De Rosa - Stac Plastic s.t. 3. Kurt-Asle Arvesen Team CSC s.t. 4. Florian Vachon Bretagne - Schuller s.t. 5. Edgar Pinto LA Rota dos Móveis s.t.
Overall
1. Fabian Cancellara Team CSC 8h19'20 2. David Blanco Palmeiras Resort - Prio + 30 3. Matteo Montaguti De Rosa - Stac Plastic + 34 4. Lars Ytting Bak Team CSC + 36 5. Huub Duyn Team NetApp + 42
