Not exactly a dream start. Have to hope for the sake of two season goals he's not injured. Even so, top 5 seems a stretch with the time loss.

The sprints back to their usual crappy selves then, Bennati 12th, Boonen 24th.

Still think he sucks?

Lavoine not exactly consistent but 3 top 10s in 5 sprints is way above my expectations from him. Also 2 times in the breakaway. I don't think I have tried a race where I hit 2 breakaways before.

Sieberg is the best lead-out rider
Hopefully Van Stayen won't miss the next sprints and he will be able to challenge Bennati for green.

Yes. This was just a lucky stage.
Can't believe Greipel actually performed!

Castaneda was on their wheels and did ok - just have to assume they didn't sprint for some reason.
A day in the KOM jersey for Cafe de Colombia - about time. |

Definitely not the best stage for us. Van Stayen lost a good amount of points to Bennati in the race for the green jersey and Ten Dam lost the polka dot one. At least we had the last one for a few stages.
Now if Gesink can perform in the mountains this could turn into a great Tour de France for us as we already got 2 stage wins.

Café de Colombia are not amused by the wheelsucking that costs us both a stage win and the mountains jersey.
And at the hands of a Colombian rider too.

Now that, is an awesome stage Both Uran and Iglinski, I couldnt ask for anything more from them there.
P.s. Fenian, the Colombian president called up Uran to congraluate him, and wished to pass on his thanks to Gomez Marchante for working for the Colombian cause, as is expected of him in a Colombian team.

One minute on Úran is not exactly a great position to be in. Going to be tough to get it back if you count out the time bonuses.

This could have been a perfect stage for Gesink, without a big mountain at the finish, but instead he finished 1 minute back...
He is only 20 seconds away from the podium though so maybe he can still get an important result, but the big mountains are still to come where he will probably lose even more time.

Hmm, what's the use of dominating the race until the mountain when Dekker doesn't deliver? |

This is not looking good for Gesink. He could actually miss the top 10 if he continues to climb like this...
