Yeah my next race should be Omloop Het Volk and I will have a short report on 2 other races we participated in along with a "young talent". |

We've found a new talent based in Spain. He has given us his training results and they look pretty good. He seems to be a sprinter judging by the results he has had last year, but we are not sure how good he could become or if he would be suited to a ProTour team.
Could you guys let me know if you think he is worth signing?
Here's the u23 schedule this season released to the public.

We have one scary startlist here. Pretty much every cobbles star of the present day is here and we brought Coyot to see what he's made of. A top 20 would be a nice result if the pack breaks up. I think its very hard to pick a winner for the race because no one can tell anyone elses form so we don't know who's coming into the race with good form or not. Lets be the cause of a big upset. |

Totally agree.. he doesn't seem to be a "real deal" so far.

The stat matrix is a little different though so 69 sprint would be able to win a sprint in the smaller races. And the guy is a future great. But we'll definately wait for some results first. |

I should have been more clear!
Just saying that if he has a 65 sprint and 69 is a pretty good sprint stat with this matrix it might be worth it. Especially since he is a future great so likely to improve lots. But the rest of his stats scare me. |

Omloop Het Nieuwsblad
So one of the biggest cobble races of the year and the first. It is also the first race in the European Tour in the UCI's schedule and many of the big favourites have planned to use this race as building blocks for a try at Paris Roubaix and Flanders. Our team doesn't really have any expectations other than try our best, because this is by far the teams weakest skill.
The riders set off in abysmal weather and that didn't really improve as the day went along. Perget managed to get in the BOTD but was easily dropped in the 2nd half of the stage on the cobbled sections.
Now with only 8km left and the first action from the favourites, Flecha and Boonen attack.
Boonen keeps going with his attack while Flecha has to slow down. Boonen is really looking strong with only 4km left now. We hope it comes down to a sprint though as Coyot and Lastras are holding on for dear life in the lead group.
But it is clearly too much and Boonen holds on for the victory.
The main bunch coming in right after Boonen. He was nearly caught.

Paris Nice
The race to the Sun begins. The route Running from Sunday March 7th to 14th 2010, the 68th Paris-Nice will be made up of 8 stages and will cover a total distance of 1,288 kilometres. Some of the worlds best climbers have gathered here to try and knock Luis Leon Sanchez off the top step of the podium as he is the defending champ of the race. Many beleive LL Sanchez will one day be a great 3 week stage racer but has not proven himself yet. However his is known for being a great 1 week stage racer and should really have a shot at the title again this year. Contador Sanchez's main rival the past year is not returning but team-mate Alexandre Vinokourov is along with other favourites like Joaquim Rodriguez, Sammy Sanchez, Igor Anton, Cadel Evans, Damiano Cunego, and Mick Rogers. Its not looking good for Luis Leon Sanchez.

Paris Nice: Prologue
(I forgot there is no replay with TT's so forgive me for the lack of pictures)
Tony Martin, who we expected to set the fastest time of the day, but he actually didn't. He did win the intermediate sprint out of the whole stage so he obviously died off near the end of the TT.

They had bad form and I suck at prologues. Plus a few of them were going for the bonus seconds at the intermediate sprint. |
