Lol, when the coaches response to finding out two players have doped is
I think the whole team probably would test positive
then you know that there is no culture of hushing things up.

it's like keiron cunningham at st helens - one of the coaches said they struggled to get a urine test because every time he pees, he breaks the pot .

Rebellin want's to earn a place in the Italian WC squad in 2011. And is doing a comeback next year. Apperently he wants to sign a two year contract.

He [Italian public prosecutor Benedetto Robert] revealed that numerous professional cyclists he has questioned claimed that athletes who don’t dope have an output of 40 per cent below those who do.
“That’s what they say. Unfortunately that’s the system,” Roberti said. “The sport relies on sponsors and sponsors don’t pay the teams unless they win and to win they need to use banned substances.”
“The races are too tough. They need to reduce the kilometres. It’s impossible to think that they can complete these races as they are without using banned substances. If they reduce the lengths I know people will say they’ll still dope, but at least they would have less reason to.”
Roberti backed recent calls from the World Anti-Doping Agency to hand out four-year bans but suggested doping was deeply rooted in sport.
“The problems start with the doctors, the team directors and the trainers. The athletes are the last rung on the ladder. I’ve seen cases where kids under 18 are given growth hormones, EPO, women’s hormones and just about everything else.”

It's about getting first to the line. In that kind of sport, and with this kind of money on the line, you can be sure that the riders will continue to dope, even if a GT is just 10 stages long. |

^This.
May someone please tell those guys to stop with that bullshit of: "stages are too long", or "GT are too tough". The riders were able to do insane sun-to-sun stages of 400+ kms, with alcohol or strychnine as the best PEDs available.
Oh, and 100m athletes dope too. Surprise! |

It's too hard because a peloton led by doped riders will ride too fast for too long. Ride it more slowly and it'll become affordable again, but 3 km/h slower... |

So to make people don't dope you have to make the stages easier and shorter?
Wrong. I think cycling is on the right track and the use of banned substances is smaller now then 10 years ago. |

Farnese Vini, get's a wildcard for the 2011 Giro because, they have the italian champion and 150 years ago italia gets one. (i don't know how to say). Says Angelo Zomegnan.

Are the Schleck Brothers riding Trek next year?
Trek's internal dealer database list the Team Luxembourg Jersey as for sale (although not till next year, and no pic). |
