OMG, my PCM won't even start after this patch! It just goes to a white screen for a sec and then I'm back to my desktop again. |

Try to rename your PCM-folder in My Documents (for example, rename it to PCM10-backup) and launch the game again. |

has anyone experienced with this latest patch that it's almost impossible to get out of the slipstream of the lead-out man? every cyclist just remain behind the one in front till the end of the sprint!!! |

If you ask me, I have held of stating my opinion until I have played a few seasons, this game is rubbish. Almost everything is ruined: cobble races, hilly races, mountian top finishes. It is just impossible to breakaway in the final 20 Km or less. The attack button is worthless. Guys with high stats and high form are constantly incapable of breaking away from the leaders. Totatlly rubbish. |

Hmm, I've only tried a few stages with the 1.0.4.2 patch but it seems they really messed up the sprints. My trains now only go backwards and the freelancing trains of the computer (there's no team trains still by the computer) leave my 80+ FL/SP/AC guys in the dust. It's to the point where I can't have my last 2 guys of the train (of a 4 man train) pass the 3rd guy for whatever reason while the computer leaves the whole train behind.
I actually see the 1.0.4.2 patch as a patch that goes backwards vs 1.0.4.1

I'm thinking of going back to 1.0.3.x as although AI trains didn't work, everything else seemed to work better (including attacking in hills, mountains). |

Just do what Roturn said.
I usually send my 2nd best climber on dot at 85% on the final climb or decisive climb of the day. It killed all the Sungard riders and then the favourites attacked together like Evans Conta and Sanchez (me). Never got caught.
I think you have to do your own work at the front of the peloton on climbs or else you'll never get anywhere.

Tested it out some more... sprints are 100% broken with the 1.0.4.2 patch. Basically your leadout man @ 3k is going to be the guy who crosses the line of your train first in the 10 tests I've done. Going back to 4.1 and quite probably giving up on PCM10 as so much is broken. |

Patch 1.0.4.1. seems fine to me. If 4.2. is terrible I'd probably let them know on the CYA forum, so that they can make changes or not release it.
Boy am I glad I haven't updated to 4.2. yet.

After a few tests I also recommend to play with 1.0.4.1.
This is quite close to perfect.
1.0.4.2 changes in comparison to 1.0.4.1:
positive:
- no animation bug, that a sprinter stops in front of the line. (1 of 20 sprints, realistic results, just weird animation)
negative:
- Sprints aren`t working in general, so your sprinter won`t pass the lead-out man.
- stage editor is extremely unstable
- all stages created with 1.0.4.2 stage editor are loading several minutes in game. (7min instead of 30sec on my last test!!!!)

i agree and so broken that a rider with flat 62 and sprint 61 can stay away and win by 25 secs from a full bars fully fit +3 cavendish, in full sprint, well broken is a kind description

Is it possible to just reinstall patch 1.0.4.1 if i've installed 1.0.4.2 after it? I did not create a stage with 4.2 so far, but what roturn says sounds terrible. Or do i have to reinstall the whole game? |

You can try it. Normally I would recommend against it but the latest patch did not change much, so you could get lucky. |

I also just installed 1.0.4.1 from 1.0.0.0 over 1.0.4.2.
It seems to work quite well.
Sprints are working again. |

Somehow this is funny. They announce a patch while everybody thought 1.0.4.1 was the last one and then this new patch brings just more problems.
I'm starting to study computer science this year, so i really have to ask: do they ever really test their patches?

I gave up hope for now. PCM 2011 hopefully be better. Switched back to PCM 2007, more fun with my career there than in any PCM 2010 game unfortunately.
So sad because the graphics are truelly remarkable.
They are indeed very close to a very good game, but just the last few things bug me off. |

I really enjoy 1.0.4.1 gameplay.
There are some things which could be better, but together with the graphic it`s quite good actually.
So I continue my Garmin career. |

i like pcm07 gameplay much more than pcm10, too
but going back to daily manual adjustment of fitness schedule is unbearable!
08 and 09 simply crash too much, so i'm staying on pcm10 with 1.0.4.1 |

Thanks Crue. With a little copying of savegames etc. I think it's ok now. But like many others I have my doubts about this patch too. |
