They know that if Hushovd is in top form is the best candidate to win the yersey because is abilities in Montains.
But they also know Farrar is one of few people that can match Cavendish, but Farrar cant go in the mountains.
Anyway i would go for Hushovd because if he does top 4 in many mass sprint then he can take them in the mountains.

You cannot say who they will ride for before you see the profile . If theres no sprints after the mountains, and if the mountains are way too hard, there is no point of riding for Thor. If there is very many flat stages, which there is used to be Farrar will be the one.
But anyways, im am almost 100% sure of that Farrar will be the one they are riding for. When he can wins sprints (Which he will try to do) Hushovd will not end 4th and 5th in the stages, he will ride for Farrar.
But remebmer the new seasen hasnt begun yet, and Farrar and Hushovd will fight to be the captain sprinter. Although im 98% sure of that Farrar will be that one.
And to all you saying ALL Norwegians is annoying and screaming THOOOOR IS THE BEST, HE WILL WIN GREEN NEXT YEAR!!! We are not all that way . But on the other side it aloud te be a fan of the riders from your country. And its aloud to write what you want. Of course im happy for his win at the 6th stage, and i would myself scream THOOOOOR HUUUUSHOVD. Cause that was a good, good preformance all over. But if you are serious when you say he is the best sprinter you have to think again.. He isnt!
Thor and Edvald is over average riders. They are infact very complete riders. And deserves lot of attention, cause they are really strong, both of them.

They know that if Farrar is in top form he is the best candidate to win the jersey because of his abilities in the sprints.
But they also know Hushovd is one of few people that can pick points in the mountains, but that doesn't help when he can't make it into the top-10 in the flat stages.
I just mean if its much hilly stages in the Tour, i would go for Hushovd to win the yersey.
Is it much flat stages where Hushovd wouldnt be able to win, i would go for Farrar with Hushovd as a lead out man.
Thats a quite a Tactic!!!.
While Cav comes with Renshaw.
The Thunder comes and drag Farrar past Cav.

See, now there's your problem. Unlike the Giro where stage finish consistency is the key for winning the points jersey, the Tour has stages made for sprinters and the battle for the green jersey. What you're suggesting, that there'll be many hilly stages in a Tour in the next couple of years, is something extremely unlikely. And I'd like to remind you that Hushovd won the green jersey in 2009 due to a Cavendish disqualification. He was still somewhat able to sprint back then, three second places behind Cavendish proving this, but now Farrar is clearly the faster guy. I'm not even sure Hushovd is faster than Renshaw.
