He wants more Cervélo riders so he's trying to terminate the contracts of several riders on the team.
Plus, he's already told Navardauskas, a youth rider who had a contract with Garmin for next year that the deal's off.
Any word on which riders he is trying to terminate.
I like JV but I always thought he had a touch of asshole-ness in him.

Team Designa Køkken - Blue Water will not exist in the 2011 season.
With Capinordic having folded last season, it's not looking too good for Danish cycling... |

Wait, that's possible?
Considering he broke a leg in seven places, it's quite possible.

From todays Vuelta-live update on cyclingnews.com:
The world of cycling never stops and there are other races today. The Memorial Rik Van Steenbergen is being held in Belgium, while the future talents of the sport are riding stage three of the Tour del'Avenir in France. We can confirm that Tylar Phinney has started, despite being bandaged like a mummy. He is close to deciding which team he will ride for in 2011. BMC is in pole position but the young American is rightly considering all his options, as he told Cyclingnews here.
That makes a weird picture in my head |

Press release - Roy Sentjens provisionally suspended
08.09.2010
Earlier today, the UCI advised Italian rider Roy Sentjens that he is provisionally suspended. The decision to provisionally suspend Mr Sentjens was made in response to a report from the WADA accredited laboratory in Cologne indicating an Adverse Analytical Finding of Recombinant EPO in a urine sample collected from him at an out-of-competition test on 16 August 2010.
The provisional suspension remains in force until a hearing panel convened by the Belgium Cycling Federation (RLVB) determines whether Mr Sentjens has committed an anti-doping rule violation under Article 21 of the UCI Anti-Doping Rules.
Mr Sentjens has the right to request and attend the analyses of his B sample.
Under the World Anti-Doping Code and the UCI Anti-Doping Rules, the UCI is unable to provide any additional information at this time.

This reminds me. Milram the sponsor said they'd withdraw immediately if the team had another doping case.
Will the team not have the cash to finish the season?

I have been less then vigilant the past couple months (with the kids summer vacation taking precedence) and was wondering if the brain-trust of PCMDaily could confirm or "fill in some blanks" for me.
I know it is likely listed in the forum's, but I thought it might be useful (for db making) to see it all together.
1. Caisse: are to become Movistar (telefonica)?
2: Footon: are to become Team Geox?
3. Lampre: are they gaining ISD as secondary sponsor or merging?
4. ISD-Neri: are to become Farnese Vini - Cipollini or is ISD still involved?
5. Cervélo: they are disbanding, however, are becoming Co-sponsor for Garmin?
6. Team Milram: did they find a sponsor or are they gone?
7. Bouygues: are they extending or are they finished?
8. Any update yet on sponsor and name of the Schleck/Luxembourg team?
9. Any other confirmed disbandings in the lower ranks besides Team Designa Køkken - Blue Water and Marcondes Cesar?
10. Who has a Pro-Tour license next year?
11. Fly V: are they staying on as the title sponsor if Pegasus Sports becomes Australia's first pro-tour licensed team?
A lot of question
1. Yes
2. Yes
3 and 4. Secondary Sponsor. While their current secondary (Farnese Vini) goes the other way
5. Yes
6. Gone
7. Extending
8. Next Month
9. Probably Xacobeo
10. Wait a few months
11. No idea

Sentjens denies doping.
Give him a few months and I'm sure he'll admit to doping....except for the races he won.

Funnily enough, Foster's for many years wasn't sold in australia, and currently is mostly unknown there.
(Not to mention it's not made there either)
