The Giro route always wins. Looks good. But I hope that ASO does like the Giro and include a "mud" stage. Why not some Tro Bro Leon looking stage? |

I'd say that circa 5000 m of vertical climbing is something special, actually. |

Nothing more than a standard Tour-mountain. Tour is gonna be nice that day ASO is gonna get balls to make some really hard routes (not that i think the day will come though). |

Prudhomme says the idea of reducing the TT kms is because "it's created more exciting racing"...
No, it really hasn't. AT ALL.
The problem is (and he'd know this if he knew the history of the actual RACING at the Tour, not just the history of the Tour in general) that less TT kms -> everyone is closer on GC -> everyone has a lot to lose -> nobody takes any risks -> racing is boring.
Or to go with the examples from the past decade:
2003: 2 Very long ITTs. Best Tour of the Decade
2004: 1 ITT. The most boring piece of domination ever.
2005: 1 ITT. Almost as bad as 2004.
2006: 2 ITTs. Great
2007: 2 ITTs. Also great.
2008: 2 ITTs but shorter. Not bad, but a bit boring compared to previous years
2009: 1 ITT short. The most boring Tour I can remember. Nothing happened.
2010: 1 ITT. Other than the chain slip, the Tour developed in the most predictable way possible.

I don't agree. The riders who know they suck at TT will have to attack. The best example is Schleck. Or Van den Broeck. |

Uhm ... by saying that, you agree with isso.
When there are many TT kms, they have to attack to make up for their TT loss. Which is what both isso and you are saying. |

Yeah. I don't know when did the myth "with many TT kms racing is more boring" but is nonsense. The more TT kms, the more attacks, and from longer distance the climbers will be forced to do.
TTS itselves may be bit boring, but are much better than a pancake flat stage which you know who and how is going to win. And, anyway, they provide a better racing in the whole race, so they are awesome.
I think we can live without two long ITTs in the Giro (although one 50 km ITT in the 1st/2nd week would be perfect), because Giro=craziness anyway. But the Tour needs them. |

TT's are boring to watch (mostly), but are a nessessity for a good race.
Apparently this has been forgotten.

The Anglirú is likely to make a reappearance at the Vuelta 2011.
The presentation is still a month and a half away

It's Angliru, not Anglirú. Do it properly or I'll start to copy Perico Delgado and say Obiski instead of Aubisque.

Öh, rèâllý?
Edit: Sierra Nevada will also be in next year's Vuelta. One can dream and think they'll climb up to the Veleta one day...

They tried to get the Pico de Veleta in the 2009 route, but failed.
One can hope.

That would be legend-wait for it and I hope you're not lactose intolerant because the second half of that word is DAIRY! I mean a summit finish on 3400meters. I think the almost is going to need oxygen tubes. |

You do realize The word is "legendary", not "legen-dairy", right?

Nah, it just means that the Colombians will win.
