no one seems to have mentioned yet the fact that Cav won the sprint with no train at all. so much for the haters theory that he would be nothing without his train.
i don't think he should have given up on the green so early. that is if he really has given up on it. how many points off the lead is he now? |

There have been several sprints he did before today proving that
But thank you for mentioning it, some people don't watch sprints and look at the replays and just assume he had a big train.

I find the races without his train much more exciting. I still know that Cav will win somehow but the sprints are much more exciting when he jumps out from behind someone and never looks back. Much better than already being 5 bike lengths ahead and all he has to do then is sprint half speed it seems. |

At least he can lose without his train. With his train he's pretty much unbeatable. |

One thing that made me happy today was that it looked like Rojas was catching Cav in the sprint.
I vaguely remember him being boxed in until atleast 240m. Can someone confirm this?

Actually there are 2 sprints at tommorow's stage so Cav could make Hushovd's styled breakaway to snatch 12 points and then there's every chance of getting green in Paris |

Many of yous may remember when Vino came out back to ride the Vuelta last year, I was fuming and very critical of him and hated him, but know he is becoming I rider i really starting to like again, I was also critical of him riding the TDF, im not now, the fact he had the courage to thank the organisors to let him race is enough for me, I don't hate him no were near as much now

thats what i was thinking. think it will be more likely that Thor will go on the attack in a desperate attempt to take back the jersey.
i don't think cav would be allowed to get away anyway. Lampre would just chase his down.
i think the jersey's Petacchi's to loose now. all he's got to do is sit on Cav's wheel for the rest of the tour. |

Agree, Petacchi will not end outside the top 5 imo, and most of the time he will probably just finish second behind Cav. If he can make it trough the mountains, which shouldn't be a problem, then it's probably his.

Petacchi is going to win that classement i'm sure of it.
If Cavendish didn't have a few bad days at the start, he'd be far in the lead, i've actually worked it out.
