Jack888: I was considering them myself, I thought maybe Beppu who has cobbled stat of 70 could do something as he can sprint reasonably well. Having seen what happens though they never end in sprints these cobbled races.
All... GP Herning is the last cobbled classic and is ready, but will only come of course after the April races have finished! I will post a startlist nearer the time, its interesting Telenor and Falcon with some reasonable cobblers are joining the fray! |

GP Herning preview
Its the last cobbled classic of the season and the big question is can anyone stop IKEA - Bianchi's utter domination? Other than Wiggle's Luke Rowe outsprinting Pieter Vanspreybrouk at East Midlands no-one has been able to stop them.
Adam Blythe(100% Me), Vladimir Gusev(Cillit Bang), Bernie Eisel(Bimbo Nutella), Gert Steegmans and Verbist (both Vespa) have looked the most likely to dethrone the dominant team. Watch out for Pokerstars and their team tactics to try and cause an upset also.
Telenor and Falcon join us also.
Startlist is posted and race report should be with us (a little early due to other race commitments) tomorrow evening. |

CT Cobbles Season wrap:
Here are the top eight teams from your cobbles classics from the CT Tour. I have not included the De Panne Tour, though 100% Me and Milka obviously had good races there! So this is the cumulative results from the seven races.
| Team | Points | Race days | Average | 1 | Ikea | 892 | 14 | 63.71 | 2 | Vespa | 636 | 14 | 45.43 | 3 | 100% Me | 497 | 14 | 35.50 | 4 | Pokerstars | 397 | 12 | 33.08 | 5 | Bimbo Nut | 376 | 12 | 31.33 | 6 | Cillit Bang | 311 | 14 | 22.21 | 7 | Intesa | 191 | 12 | 15.92 | 8 | Milka | 184 | 14 | 13.14 |
Ikea's performance in these races were sensation with Albert winning two of the seven races and Vanspreybrouk winning four of the others and never being off the podium. Steegmans and Verbist gave Vespa consistency with Gert three times the Ikea bridesmaid. 100% Me's frustration was at boiling point as Blythe failled to land a telling win (though he did win the cobbled stage at De Panne). I felt Pokerstars and Bimbo Nutella had good solid results, Pokerstars had the numbers and Bimbo had Eisel the real star of their team.
Gusev was the most disappointing rider, at times he recieved little support from his Cillit Bang team whereas Intesa's Sentjens was not quite good enough and Milka's Hushovd has clearly lost some of his sparkle.
Honoury mention to Luke Rowe and Wiggle who participated in one cobbled race and won it. Highroad and Bbox also participated frequently in the cobbled season but did not really land a telling result. |

Bit of a damp squib that last race for Vespa.
Still, good enough cobble season for the team. |

Great cobbled races by Eisel. I'm really happy with his performance and I hope he can get one win this season because I think he deserves it
Nice 5th in this " classification " |
