There is no "careerloadingbug". If your save got corrupt then you have to start a new career or use the backup. The backups are in a folder called weeklysave (or similar).
There might be several reasons (bugs) why the save will be corrupt but as soon as it is broken it cannot be fixed.
I`m still getting amazed by this "bug".
Everyone knows (unless PCM10 is their first PCM) that savegames gets corrupted with each new version of PCM and they still don`t learn to backup their saves (one backup save per week is just too little if you are playing more than 10+ stages per week running in x1 full 3D like myself).
So easiest thing is just to quit game after each stage and backup WORKING save somewhere on HDD.
That`s all you need to do and you`ll save hours of lost gametime this way if you need to rollback corrupted save... |

You dont have to quit the game to copy the save, you can Alt+Tab out of the game. And if you want to save changes done after playing a stage it is enough to go back to the menu.
But else you are correct, but don't forget the people who never played this game. (even it is recommended to backup all data including saves of any game.) |

I`m quitting game because it "clears" memory a bit so I`m not getting mem leak/overflow problem related crashes (whole procedure takes 20 seconds or so).
I said "(unless PCM10 is their first PCM)" it means unless they didn`t play any of previous releases of PCM they don`t know anything about this bug.
No pun intended for new gamers.

Maybe theres a problem if you're using a career game you started before you installed the patch? |

For me the 2 most annoying "bugs" still exists. (Wouldn't know of any career bugs, as I haven't played it yet):
1. My favourite feature for this game must be the detailed simulation, but it is just not working atm. Whenever i set a guy to "attack at specific distance from the finish" this will carry on into every stage afterwards (if in a stage race of course), and can't be deleted.
2. Late in Stage Races the sprints are way too dominated by non-sprinters. Either way less riders should be interested in mass sprints (best solution), or sprint should be way less affected by recovery and form(bad solution, as top sprinters might win too much).
Edit: okay point #2 is really bugging me now. Just did the 10th (I think) stage of the Giro, which is a flat stage, and Pozzato took the bunch sprint in front of Scarponi and Evans. Top 10 also included Garzelli , Wiggins and Vinokourov.

scouting still results in super rookies with each stat at 78 or so...if these guys continue to emerge, the future in career mode will be bleak...hopefully the 2nd patch can address this...any word if the first patch corrects the october 15th transfer situation? |

There is no "careerloadingbug". If your save got corrupt then you have to start a new career or use the backup. The backups are in a folder called weeklysave (or similar).
There might be several reasons (bugs) why the save will be corrupt but as soon as it is broken it cannot be fixed. I think that you don't understand what I mean: When I click on "load (game)" in the head menu, pcm crashes, I can't even select a savegame, it's the menu that doesn't work anymore

Did you start a career before this problem. If you did delete it from my documents in Solo. Or atleast remove it from the folder to see if that is the actual cause. (Likely is becasue Lachi knows a lot and it would help to cooperate with him)

What's the problem? Are there too many of them or something?

From what i've heard almost every scouted rider is a new Eddy Merckx. 78 in TT, Cobbles, Mountain, Hill. And apperently there multiple.

Wow. Must be the release version. Scouting was fine in the beta.

it's pretty daunting...by 2013, a contador-skill-level peleton will be the norm! |
