didn't you think to read the previous 3 pages of people writing "i'm in" and the discussion on how many people have already joined.
good luck everyone, though i think, that with the lack of top class riders in the race, everyones gonna have an identical team exept for the domestiques. |

Ringo: Not sure ppl with have identical teams! There is a choice of one of four top class sprinters and in the all rounders probably comes down to how well you rate Vino and the Liquigas duo.
The climbers is a strange one, Sastre seems to me a no brainer, below that I think Pozzovivo, Moncoutie, Arroyo, Moreno, Szmyd, Gadret all have their merits. Hell some may be tempted by Simoni!
The domesitiques will be interesting - I went for sprinters Henderson, Sabatini and a wildcard Jackson Rodriguez. I was tempted to go for Sacha Modolo...
In fact my wildcard was a sprinter too! |

It seems every rider I picked for the fantasy giro has crashed today. Not looking good.

Not bad, 2 of the top 5. And Evans is new leader, so that's a good start so far. |

Yeah Evans has the lead. I wonder who didn't pick him on their team.

maybe i exagerated a bit. but then i wouldn't say there are 4 top class sprinters either. With the exception of Farrar none of the others would stand a chance against the likes of cav or thor in the tour. Griepel is worth a punt at 10 points but i would bet that very few have selected any other sprinter. (unless their tactic was to spend all their money on good domestiques and pick the cheapest sprinter available)
i guess also that 90% of the teams in the league will have both sastre and evans. and also most will have wiggins as he's garanteed a couple of tt wins if he doesn't crash.
that's 4 of the 9 spots filled so it will depend mostly on the domestiques.
obviously everyone has their own opinions, but i would be surprised if what i have said turns out to be wrong. |

I didn't, i wasted my star rider money on Sastre and McEwan. The morale of the story is don't pick old people.
Still a long way to go though, maybe Miller and Vino will shine for my team |

Greipel in 4th and Evans, Vino & Millar up there in the GC.. Fairly good day for my team
Sastre losing time was also good for me as I don't have him in the team. I used the money on some other stage win/high GC placing candidates. To win, you can't have the same team as everybody else |

Sastre will still be a good bet for a stage win or 2 in the mountains. He's the only real pure climber in the Giro. |

I will say it is even better if he is away on the GC. Maybe this way he has more opportunities to win a stage (like usually Cunego do.) |

wish they'd hurry up and update the first lot of points.
i'm not un-grateful. it's great that someone is running a free fantasy cycling game like this. ( thoughthe fact that they are following the giro around holland and italy in person makes me start to think that they are being paid quite well to do it)
i just want to start comparing my team to others and watch them drift slowly to the bottom of the league. |

My team is absolutly awful and im starting to fear my "clever" picks are all gonna fail completly. Vande Velde i had really high hopes for this time in the giro but he is already out. Uran and Pozzovivo been struggling badly in the first two stages.
At the moment i just hope i will not be last out of the 49 teams. |

Because we've used it lots of times and it's been very good.
He'll update the scores eventually

And its free. There is one that advertises that its completely free, well it is .... to make a team but you have to pay to join a league and get into rankings.
