i want in pcm 2011 to have a button for retire from a tour/race in any moment
like in real life
i give you an real example
this year the sprinters who participate in vuelta
they will retire from vuelta after 7-8 stages to participate at world championship road race because they have a good chance to win
all you have to do is put tge riders effort cursor to 0 and after about 10 seconds they auto abandon so then you can use them for another race

I think little things in the 3d game such as riders acctually heading back to cars for bottles , going to a doctors car riders innteracting all this would make you feel so much more envolved in the game and please get better commentary hehehe

better commentary would improve the game like on fifa ect you could have to commentators who talk about random cycling stuff talk about there favs for the race
its not hard to do that

As a stagemaker I have a lot of suggestions for the stage editor to bring more variation to the table:
1. allow roundabouts like in prior PCM games
2. allow avalanches in mountain stages like in prior PCM games
3. create more bridges so vi have more options like in prior PCM games
4. add a lot more 3D objects like castles and houses.
5. allow desserts for races like Tour of Qatar
Gameplay suggestions
1. add a follow button for mountain stages so the rider automaticly will counter an attack by the followed rider.
2. add the gruppeto buttin promised years ago so a rider can take it easy without micromanagement.
Do this keep and the features in PCM10 then I can't ask for more |

I Would like, when a rider crashes there would be a possibility that he could loose some of hes energy, depending on the injury. |

Solve the sprintbug, I don't think Contador can beat Cavendish in a flat stage mass sprint. Organize some trains! I think it's not soo complicated. The AI should see that his team has a good sprinter and make a train if they have 2-3 good FL riders and a lead-out man. IRL we can see 3-4 teams trying to make the best train in the final 15km. The weak trains are falling behind and the sprinter of these teams are searching for a wheel in the best train. I don't think it's soo hard to do. |

First and foremost I would need to say that in my opinion, they've fixed the graphics, the gameplay is really good if they just sort out the last few AI issues (sprints!!), so 2011 should be ALL about the managerial part of the game.
A few suggestions:
- Injuries. Greater variety and effect of injuries. As of now, the injury part of PCM feels very black and white; when a rider crashes he seems to either drop out of the race immediately, or he suffers no damage. In real life, injuries are usually the other way around; riders suffer injuries that don't necessarily force them out of the race, but they often affect the riders performance both in the stage and possibly throughout a longer period. Is it just me or was there a red cross icon in one of the earlier versions of PCM when a rider was injured...? I think it would be cool if they brought this back so that the majority of riders that crashes get back up to race with a red cross icon, whereby you can get a brief status of the injury by visiting the medical car, and then a complete injury report after the stage where you learn the full extent of the injury. Injuries should be everything from injuries that only cause damage to certain abilities (e.g. some injuries make it hard to sprint, but the rider can still perform well in other capacities), other injuries should cause great performance drops but still not force the rider out of the stage/race (e.g. Cadel Evans in the TdF), and of course some injuries that are more severe. Injuries is such a huge part of professional cycling and should be better portrayed in the game.
- Contracts. The entire contract signing aspect of the game feels pretty random. I would welcome much stronger personalities in the riders. This could be introduced through a stronger focus on rider priorities; Contador might be willing to extend his contract with your team, but he demands that you bring in two more good climbers to support him in the grand tours (he'd might even demand that they are spanish =)...or Cancellara might be willing to join your team but he demands control over certain parts of his race schedule...or Hushovd gets frustrated that you didn't build the TdF-squad stronger around him and refuses to sign a new contract when it is up for renewal... And some riders are mostly interested in the size of the paycheck, others want to join a winning team, and for others the most important aspect is that they will be the focal point of the team. It feels like some of the framework to include this sort of "character" to the riders is already in the game, but that it has been played down in order to keep the game easy to learn/understand. Stronger personalities could also be introduced through relations, as many are familiar with in FM; e.g. a certain rider is leaning towards signing with your team as a couple of his former teammates and friends are on your team, or vice-versa; the rider will not even hear you out since you already have one of his mortal enemies on your team.
- Finances. This part of the game is pretty useless at the moment, but at the same time it's not all that easy to see how this part of the game can be improved. One idea is that one would have to negotiate the main sponsor(s) as well as the smaller ones. This way one would have the option of having a career that is A LOT more dynamic. In this way it could happen that Astana failed to get a new main sponsor and was forced to be disbanded, causing all their riders to turn free agent at the end of the season, but at the same time Pinarello has decided to establish a team and is making contract offers to a lot of riders... Or one is managing a smaller team but manages to attract the attention of a huge main sponsor causing a significant budget increase. However, the new sponsor has some specific goals or standard of achievement that must be reached over a certain period of time if you want to extend the contract. The main sponsors might even have different agendas; some have a lot of patience and commitment and want you to focus on your youth program, whereas another sponsor is willing to inject a lot of money but wants instant success, some sponsors have very specific goals, others have more fluid goals that allows you to build the race programme and fitness schedule more freely. This way the game would have a lot more freedom in terms of managing a team in different directions. One would need to not just follow the money, but choose a sponsor that fits the team and one's playing style. Furthermore, the effect of good doctors, trainers and scouts needs to have greater depth.
- Training/Rider Development/Scouting. To me this is the most exciting and rewarding aspect of the game. To make this part even more exciting a greater level of detail, possibility to micromanage, and a more dynamic and less predictable development of riders would be greatly appreciated. The scouting part of the game is pretty boring at the moment. The assignments are very long, and there is very little you can do in order to improve the scouting except hiring more and better scouts and make sure that one sends the scouts to the regions that traditionally have the best riders. I would like to send a scout to watch track racing in the UK to find the next Cavendish or TT world champion, or send a scout to U23 or junior events in different countries/regions, send scouts to national championships, send scouts to watch riders from other teams, send scouts to youth and senior championships in mountain bike/cyclocross/triathlon in order to find the next Lance Armstrong or Cadel Evans. In short, it would be great to have much more control of which type of rider one is looking for, and although nobody wants the 77+ rookies, it would be nice to see a greater variety of current ability and speed of progress. |

What i would like to see is this:
Stats:
Lead-Out
Add a lead-out stat, because a good lead-out man is key to sucess.
Thougness
A stat that determends the riders thougness in form of fighting for a wheel.
Sprint mode
3 km to go
When it's 3km to go, the game should go into a 100m equals what a km does in game. So the fighting for wheels, lead-outs and posistioning is more key to sucess.
I don't mean it should be like track racing in the last 3 km, but more "important" then what it is today. Because the way the sprinters sprint is just ridonkules( ).

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but how about some mental stats?
Some riders are great physically, but just can't stand the pressure in the eg. Le Tour |

In career mode, it would be great if managers get fired, so other team can make you an offer to be their manager.
Also, it would be great to apply for vacants when a team fires their manager.
This way, you could start a career with a small team, and if you are sucessful, maybe a big team offers you a manager contract.
Otherwise, there is no way to improve your career.
