Vuelta Andalucia Stage 4
Today is what any rider in the lead would do. Protect your lead. The Garmin boys told me they are ready to work on my command today. Lets hope I hold on for the overall Victory!
At km:0 Bert De Waele attacked the peloton. It was a gutsy move but did it suceed?
The move must have suceeded because he was joined by 2 other riders. (Koen De Kort of Skil-Shimano and Volodymyr Zagorodny of Lampre)
With only 70km's to the finish. The BOTD still had over 11 minutes. I commanded (in a nice way) my tea mto the front and to work as hard as possible and try to bring back the break. Or atleast bring them back enough so that I keep my OVerall lead. Willing to do anything my team slowly but surely brought back the breakaway.
2km's to go and the break has 1:30 minute lead. They will suceed. It's only a question of who now. The sprint begins and De Kort starts it off. Now the other 2 get out of his slipstream but is there enough road left ot pass him?
Well De Waele gets the win. He jumped out from behind De Kort at the perfect moment.
Now Allan Davis brings the peloton home with a split from the break at about 1:18. We did it. Our team worked hard enough to keep the lead!

Vuelta Andalucia Stage 5 (Final)
Heres the big day. If we stop all the breakaways from getting over 2 minutes I win the Overall! I know it will be a tough stage and the other teams will make it so that we have to do all the work but we can live with that.
Mateusz Mróz and Antonio Piedra got away today. They got a gap of 13 minutes at its highest point.
[i]Antonio Piedra had enough and dropped off the back of Mroz's wheel. He was now all alone with 20km's to win and still 2 minutes before Antonio Piedra. HE had the victory sealed. We still needed to gain 1:30 on the break to ensure that I won the Overall.
Mroz won today. His day of fame is well deserved.
[i]Well heres Boonen who is part of the Hesjedal group coming in behind Antonio Piedra so we did it. I have WON the Vuelta Andalucia! I ran over to my team and thanked them so much.

Thanks. That was one of the hardest races ever for me. I always had to chase down the break and the 2nd stage the Hesjedal won was really hard.

Garmin Blog
Just like last month we are having a best rider of the month award. This month it was a harder pick because more than one rider had good results. We decided that Hesjedal and Farrar are our riders of the month.
Hesjedal is the; Garmin Rider of the month, February.
Farrar is the; Garmin under 25 Rider of the month, February

Sorry didn't see that. It's not real. Its' PCM results but since I dont participate in those races I use real pictures. Plus I like doing it. It's something most story's dont have. Is it a good feature?

Thanks Glad you like it. He's the kind of rider that Iliked even before he was good. (Yesterday). I will try to keep it going as long as possible. Atleast 20 pages I hope.

Milano- San Remo
sorry my game crashed before replay.
Everything was going according to plan. It was even my 1st time it was going to be a sprint finish and not a rider like Ballan breaking awa but then it crashed.
The pace started very slow. A break managed to go away including Robbie Hunter. But they were caught on the 2nd last climb. Then on the poggio Farrar lost all his energy. Hunter dropped back to the main group. Now with 3 km's Hunter had Boonen's wheel. And then the screen went blank.

Yeah some tough riders. I thought Bennati would have done better though cause Liquigas was on the front the whole race.

Settimana Coppi e Bartali Stage 1
With many strong Rivals here I think this will be the hardest race of the year so far. I'm definately an underdog in this race which I like but well see how it goes!
On the start of the final climb only one rider is ahead. (Giairo Ermeti). I decided this was the best moment to attack and catch my rivals off guard.
On the decent to the finish I caught up to Paul Martens of Rabobank.
LL Sanchez split the gap as well and made it to my group. He looked very strong. Watch for him in the sprint.
Hesjedal opened up the sprint and flew away from sanchez and co. I was catching up to Giairo Ermeti rapidly it was going to be close. Waht once was a 2 minute ga is now 7 seconds.
Close stage but Giairo wins. No time gap though.

Settimana Coppi e Bartali Stage 2: Team TT
Today was a day where we were favoured. We weren't expected to be the top team but we were expected to be "up there". I was feeling confident before-hand and my training ride this morning I felt great.
A&S here. They didn't do very well but that was expected of them. They just wanted to make sure Garzeli survived.
Again Flaminia just wants Ricco to survive and not loose too much time on the TTT powerhouses like Astana and HTC.
Liquigas set out. They had a terrible time for their cababilities but still not too bad. +28.
HTC set out and beat the overall time. They worked hard but don't really have a GC rider.
Contador brings Astana over the line after a great ride. They sure lived up to their words finishing 3rd with +15.
Us Garmin boys had to work really hard! Dave and Millar rode their absoloute hardest today. Meyer learned a few things from the 2 and then we crumbled. Dave felt terrible and apoligized but it was too late. +57 on the day.
The last team out and boy do they have a good sqaud for the TTT. LL Sanchez rode today and Caisse grabs the stage win.

Settimana Coppi e Bartali Stage 3
Today all our goal was, was to not loose anymore time than we already did in the Team TimeTrial.
It was a rolling terrain today and pretty tough. A break of 3 riders got away and then in the final 60km's it turned into just one rider as the other 2 where caught at the final sprint. The solo rider was eventually caught with 20km to go. It would be a sprint.
The sprint was fast as it was slightly downhill. JJ Rojas beat everyone today. I just sat in the main group and made sure of any time gaps there might be.
