Fabian Cancellara completed the Tour of Flanders at an average speed of 40 km/h. His average heartrate was 143 beats per minute. Maybe even more interesting is the average watts. During the 260km he developed a stunning 285W average! Remarkably his average cadence wasn't that high, 73.
Then we take al ook at the maximums... The maximam speed during the race of Cancellara was 80 km/h. The highest cadence was 147 p/m. But one figure will really astound you. At the Muur van Geraardsbergen the Swiss man developed an awesome wattage. He dropped Boonen at an incredible 1450 Watts. His highest heartrate was 190 bpm. And during the day he burned some 6459 kcal.
Cancellara SRM data from #Flanders: Avg.Speed:40km/h - Avg.Cad:73 - Avg.HR:143 - Avg.Power:285W - Max.Speed:80km/h - Max.Cad:147 - Max.HR:190 - Max.Power:1450W - Tot.Calories: 6459 |

And since we're on the subject of doping, Dario Frigo throws more wood into the fire, now that his court case has been settled and therefore he doesn't have to stay silent.
Everyone on the team [Fassa Bortolo] was on something. It started the moment you showed up for your first training camp
"But isso", you might say, "That was years ago. So many of them have retired or been caught, surely there's only 3 or 4 left riding. How can that matter so much?".

If he has, I don't know about it. Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest, though.
If you have any info, feel free to post

LNDD announces that Hematide, Sestide and other 4th generation EPOs are now detectable.
AICAR and autologous blood transfusions are still not, however. and HgH is pretty much as if it wasn't.
They also announced their next step will be to try to implement the new prototype autologous blood transfusion test.

Remember Zirbel and others offering the defense that DHEA doesn't really give you an advantage, so they didn't do it to try to dope?
Well, the results of the raids on the LA-MSS case have been made public. I won't list the substances found here, as it would be the longest post in the history of the forum, but by far the most common find is huge bucketloads of DHEA pills.

Armstrong continues avoiding Contador.
After throwing the classics out the window as soon as Contador announced he was riding, Lance has now changed from the Dauphiné to the Tour de Suisse.
That's just sad.

In other news, Armstrong will not ride the Tour, but opts for the Vuelta instead.
