I had a lot of ideas for a new team but I liked the ... (a new rather then a real life existing one) is a bit nicer even though I had a lot of teams in mind:
-
-
- Mapei
1 day after that idea came Heine took it.
.....................................
The ProTour will be a big challenge, finally my team rides the good races.
I am especially looking forward to the one-day classics.. The hilly ones..
But also the Tour.
The only PT race we took part in was the Badaling International (2008 olympics course) and the Österreich Rundfahrt which was 2010 just CT and not PT.
I would say that I could make a lot of changes or not.
I learned from Transfers mistakes from the past especially at the first season so I just take a Win-Win offer and not a Win-Lose offer.
I can say that I will definetly look out for a good cobble rider but just 1.
And I will look after a very strong GT rider.. Maybe CrueTrue hands out Dekker you never know..
I think the battle for the good free agents like Nibali will be very crazy so I won't take a rider for a million wage just to have him. Would like to get 2 good 500k riders as they are better for me.

Laughing at the Mapei one, though if you ask AnFreeman (and Ember, as I told him) I had planned it for quite some months
When it comes to all riders available at the right offer, that might be interesting Always good with riders that have proven they can be on promoting teams

News report
A german news paper reported from a source close to the teams manager that Team Cannondales manager is very interested to get these riders:
Andy Schleck and Vincenzo Nibali from the disbanding eam Domina Vacanze
Thomas Dekker from the relegating team Spyker Cars
Adam Blythe from Rapha Condor - Qhubeka which will become Jaguar - Eritel
Jurgen Roelandts from Carmeuse - Bouygues Telecom
and
Maxime Vantomme from Team Rothaus - Aegon which will become Team Aegon - Rothaus.
Team Cannondales manager reacted to the report with: "I don't want to comment any rumours. Nah just kidding, it's true."

Now that is very nice company, you are indeed interested in only the best around (plus Vantomme ).

Actually Vantomme isn't bad but I feel that he is missing the last 5%
The last season he wasn't bad but now he has some kind of a Ciolek dilemma. Ciolek wasn't that good the first 2 seasons but got everything together for this season.

I think PM transfer deals are banned until the beginning of the window. Public discussion is ok though.

As you are allowed to PM the managers as the off-season started, you can ask/offer me everything you want and I might see how big the chances are that you can get the rider you want.
Everyone, really everyone! is available but I won't give up Claeys for 50k for example, I won't listen/answer these offers if it isn't Meiji.
Ciolek, Rabon, Claeys, Monfort, Gil, de la Fuente, Cobo and all the others!
Usual rules are that actual offers should wait until the transfer windows opens Theres nothing more annoying than the transfers opening, and 10 deals immediately being posted and confirmed, imo.
More fun if it is done via media thread posts aswell

Sorry to inform you, but I think there is a rule where 2 teams cannot have the same sponsor. (correct me if I'm wrong)
But Meiji - Fuji is becoming Meiji - Cannondale for next season, meaning we'd be sharing the same sponsor....
I've had my jersey and sponsors since late June as well.
