Can someone explain how this works?
Is it pure fantasy or are you playing this on a COM LAN game? |

Managers build their teams in a transfer season, pick their races, and pick their team lineups for each race. Startlists for each race are then made, and we play the races in PCM - with the AI controlling all the teams

How can the AI control all teams? Isn't it a control team?  |

the ai controls all the teams like normal except for the team controlled by the person playing the race --> the control team. it is not a proper team it is just used so you can play the race and is made up of free agents

There is a control team with riders that no one picke d but the person controlling the Control team tries to stay out of all the events as if they weren't there at all. Atleast thats my understanding on it anyway.

Well, they dont 'try' to stay out of all events. They do stay out of all events

Weirdly enough, the control team have been known to outscore several CT in some races.

Well Duo Normand is basically points for all who enter, its just that not many enter. And I think they got points for 49th and 50th at the Tour Down Under - which is more of a bad indication on the field at that race.
All that needs to be avoided is the control team being eliminated through the time limit, so all I personally do is ensure they drink once, maybe twice, per stage. Otherwise they are ignored, as the whole point is to watch whats actually going on.
Waghlon: Its not possible for them to outscore teams in a race - unless maybe the team is exceptionally bad

And to any season Chrica's question, there were 12 spots, they were taken, and we have been fortunate this year in that all of the 12 have continued and been active (unlike last season).
So at the moment, no, theres no places available.

Yet they have. I cant remember the exact races, but it did happen one or two times in the 2010 season, and several times in 2009.
