Right now I have some time to rest, so I came to my native city Penza, Russia, where I have meeting with my family, friends. And I was bit surprised, that I have my own fan-club there. It contains only 12 people, but it it really means much for me.
My next race will be Gran Premio Miguel Indurain, then Clasika Primavera and Giro del Trentino. And then it may be Giro d'Italia. We didn't received invitation yet, but our manager sure that we will. So, he published pre-start list with 11 riders. It's Scarponi, Ginanni, Bertagnolli, A. Bertolini, Serpa, Giunti, Rodriguez, Bertogliatti, Ochoa, Loddo and me.
I hope I will ride in my favorite race.

Yes, I think I will lead the team in both Spanish races, as I have ridden for Spanish team for two years and know those roads well.
By the way, even with progression speed = 0,3, my average stat is 77 now so I will have to lead the team at any race

Yeah as olabj says, can we see your stats now?
How much do you have in potential?
Can we see like a before and after picture of both you and the team? That would be great |

I am trying to low it for now with very short racing program. But my training schedule is sprinter's one, so I am in good shape for almost half of the season. Good shape, but not the best

My spanish week in April started by Gran Premio Miguel Indurain. It's quite hilly race, which profile is well suited for me, so I expected good result here. To be honest, I wanted to win.
The started as always - by making break-group. There was 8 riders with Jakson Rodriguez from Androni team. That group made huge job and with 90 km to finsh the gap was over 10 minutes but then AG2R increased speed in main group. Their leader, Gadret, seemed to be in good shape today.
With 35 km to finish big guns started their attacks. I sat on the wheel of Constantino Zaballa and quickly moved to attackers group. same job was made by team mate, Luka Solari. We had majority in number, I had good legs today, so we hoped for victory.
When we both were in back of the group, Gadret attacked and we couldn't counter him. No one did that, as all people thought that that attack was just demonstrative.
But it wasn't. French rider made huge gap and all after that was just a matter of technique. All other riders were fighting just for second place.
It wasn't too hard for to overtook everyone and finish second.
But it's a shame that I didn't react on future winner's attack. I hope that in a week, at Classica Primavera, I will be more concentrated.

Yes, it's good.
I am sorry to tell about it, but I will not start Classica Primavera due the ill. Instead of me Michele Scarponi will be leader. I hope that I will be OK till Giro dell trentino

Ok. Another bad news. My game suspiciously crashed three times at stages of Giro dell Trentino, so I had to simulate it.
Good news are: Scarponi finished second, with only 13 seconds behind the winner, Rigoberto Uran. He also had won last stage. My goal was to maintain my fitness back and to help Scarponi. I made both those goals and now I feel prepared to be co-capitain in Giro

My first post about season's main race for whole my team. Ok, Ok, for all Italians. Today we had teams presentation in Amsterdam. I was very surprised, when we have got second numbers. I was introduced as team leader and will wear number 11 next three weeks.
We came here yesterday and will live 3 days in small hotel with very interesting dinner hall. It's like you on the ship hold. Makes you feel mmm... unusual.
Ok, back to presentation. I was interviewed and had to say that I will try to be in top-10 after 21 days of the race. I think it is real goal for me. Anyway, my stages will begin on week number two, when we will came to mountains. Before that it will be TT and TTT stage, where I will loose some time. But I hope to loose not too much.
