Just won GP Romandie with Thomas Dakkor (huzzah) although he didn't win a single stage. Of the six stages though of course there are two time trials and he also put dents into the field in stage four (finishing in the chasing group behind my own winner Flecha) and then an excellent third place in stage five, the mountain stage in which a very average-fitness Michael Rasmussen blew the field away up the last two climbs and won the stage, also making the king of the mountains a certainty.
We finished the Tour with overall winner (Dakkor), young rider (Dakkor), mountains (Rasmussen) and team.
Just going into Giro d'Italia so hopefully we can pull something out there. The better the result, the more money we have to spend on wages next season!
We also just signed Linus Gerdemann for next season which is exciting, to add to Zabriskie.

Well, they have to be be able to compete with other companies. If they don't get the game out as soon as possible, people will either buy it in the shops or in another online shop where they can get fast delivery. However, with smaller / older titles, it doesn't really matter when people get it.
Thats pretty much what i thought, although theres no real indication on the site, as far as i know, that tells you whether this title is popular and will be sent first class. Oh, the mysteries of play.com...
Stupidly I forgot all about the preorder I put with a private seller on play.com about four/five months ago when the game was possibly coming out. Today the game was delivered so now I own TWO copies of the game. I'm keeping my original French version (it plays English anyway and I won't need to trade it in - which requires an English copy) so a sealed English copy is available for purchase here in the UK. If anyone wants it I'll sell it to you for cheaper than Play.
If you've all got your copies coming now then I'll flog it on ebay...Just thought I'd ask here first.

I could definitely deliver to Denmark. Thing is, can't remember what the Krona/Pound exchange rate is like and what the value of things are in Denmark. I know it was expensive when I went there but I don't know if that continues to video games. Anyway I'd probably charge £18 plus whatever postage comes to if you're interested.

Well finally got my grubby hands on this game after several months of waiting. Plunged into a one off flat stage to try some sprinting action with Boonen, and its fairly entertaining - maybe because I won!
I then got cocky and started a Lampre Career...lets just say its not started the way I'd hoped - Bennati was a fantastic 76th (and my best placed rider) in the opening race of the season!
I was getting smug thinking I'd nailed it with Dakkor and Rasmussen 1st and 2nd after six stages of Italia and then climbing a mountain Dakkor gets a lousy puncture and falls out of the lead group and can't catch up again finishing 6 mins behind the solo winner and 4mins behind the Rasmussen chasing group.
So now Ras leads with Dakkor back into 8th. Grrrrr.
Still, the game improves all the time, though I can't sort out a sprint to save my life.

Ack. Now Ras is leading by just ONE SOLE SECOND from Cunego who's on great form and is better in time trials than my great Dane. Dakkor's still one big stage win away from being in the mix so I think next mountain stage will require something to blow Cunego away a little to buy Ras some TT breathing space.

Thomas 'Dakkor' is a *insert your own expletive here* in my game. I offered him a contract that was worth 4000 more than what hes on and he told me to stop wasting his time. Oh well, I have Michael Rogers, Mark Cavendish (altho he's crap at the moment), Andy Schleck and a few youngsters waiting to come in for 2008. I need another GC rider though, then maybe I can dominate a all three big tours. B)
@CT: Did you get your copy from play.com yet CT?
@Chris: Seeing as you've been playing this gam a little longer than myself, do you have any tips for TT? I always seem to go off onto the grass when doing corners, despite turning as hard as possible!
Good luck for the rest of your tour!
Yeah I realise that it's not his real persona but I always enjoy naming him anyway
As for TT, slow right down before tight corners, turn then accelerate again. Create a flowing approach and take corners as close to the apex as possible without hitting the "invisible wall" that can crop up. I don't mind them now and enjoy trying to shave off seconds...The only annoying things are that it doesn't start with your lowest ranked cyclist but your highest (meaning you can't improve your run for your number one) and that you can't see times of other riders, just your standings.
