Denmark's answer to Chuck Norris, B.S. Christiansen, has left Team Saxo Bank after 10 years on the team.
Seriously, do they have any personnel left? |

For the next season, we'll see no Spanish professional teams in the Vuelta a Murcia and the Vuelta a Andalucia (except for Andalucia-CajaSur, who will ride the latter). The cause is that both races will apply the UCI rules instead of the arrangement between the association of race organizations and the teams' association. Weird.
I suppose that it'll be hard to implement in the DB Crue |

Most useless comment ever. Congratulations.
Doddy: Interesting. But his lawyer did say that Swift's contract with Katusha was void. |

This could easily go in the funny thread, but since danish media considers it news. This is the shortened part of a danish article today:
Cadel Evans part of a strong team
The american team Professional Continental BMC Racing Team (hope this is a joke, is Pro Conti actually a part of their name) have presented a strong team for the upcoming season.
To help Cadel Evans they got George Hincapie, Ballan, blah blah blah and norweigan Alexander Kristoff and 7 americans and 8 swiss riders.
When did Alexander Kristoff become newsworthy!?

Indeed. A sprinter is a huge help to Evans.

One of the least surprising news is that Milram doesn't want to continue its sponsorship after the 2010 season - or, they might if they can back down from being sole sponsor to co-name sponsor.
And in the funny news piece of the day: Armstrong says that RadioShack is not centered around him... What? |

Think back a year ago. Riis had signed the relatively unknown IT Factory as a co-sponsor to Saxo Bank. It (the company) all turned out as one huge fraud, though, and went bankrupt when people found out what was going on.
In the mean time, Saxo Bank had lowered its investment in the team due to IT Factory's signing.
... meaning that now, they're pretty much out of money |

At the time I didn't expect anything to come from it.
I looked at the team and thought that surely by the end of the year they'd be able to replace IT-Factory with another sponsor giving at least close to the same amount of funding. The team is loaded and mentioned at most every race. The Schlecks get tons of face time at the Tour (after Cancelera held the jersey for a week or so). Andy wins LBL.
Yet no sponsor gets signed. I'm confused how the team management let that happen. |
