meh
Arenburg stage looks quite good, i like cobbles though, so i was always going to say that.
Better than last year though, still looking forward to the 24th.

Like Bruynell said : "classic" Tour, so boring Tour, with only three interesting stages for GC : Morzine-Avoriaz, Tourmalet and Bordeaux-Pauillac (51 or 59 km, dont know, of full-flat TT )
EDIT : ad I like letour.fr, with the comments of Prudhomme on Bordeaux TT: "Un contre-la-montre de 51 kilomètres sur les routes vallonnées du Médoc", which means : "a 51 km long TT on the hilly roads of Médoc"
Too much wine Mr Prudhomme.

I don't see how this can be considered classic in any way.
Either way, I don't like this route. It's going to be boring and it's going to boil it down to about 3 stages. The rest of it will be a snoozefest.

The only interesting thing this year is that a stage is located in Bordeaux
If you mean by "classic" a TTT, windstages on the first week ... then it is not
But as always, the Giro will be the most interesting. |

Wait so they hit the Tourmalet two times? Once over and then a summit finish...? |

I also mean it's far too one-sided towards one of the mountain ranges and it's extremely low in time trial kms

In your perfect TdF, how much time trial and how many mountain stages would you like? |

Mountain stages, that doesn't matter. The climbs themselves and how they're positioned matter. You can have 15 mountain stages and no time differences.
Time trials, the Tour should be for an all-rounder, not a climber. 120kms seems reasonable to me, although most people who watched the Tour before the 2000s will argue that it's way too few.

Prologue (8 km), TTT (60 km), ITT (50 km) and ITT (50 km), sounds great in my ears.

Yeah, less than 100-120 km of time trial is too few, but 60 km is a joke. The first Tour I ever watched, in 1997, had ~120km of tt. Since then, the km of ITT have been progresively decreasing to a sh*tty 60km. And that's still more than in the last Vuelta. Meh. |

This would also probably lead to a closer tour as Cance may actually challenge Contador

Cance won't win a Tour if people like Conta, Andy, Frank, Lance, Wiggins, Lepheimer, Kløden, Sastre, Nibali, Kreuziger, Menchov, Basso, Gesink, Mosquera, Valverde, Evans, Pellizotti, etc still are in the game. Not even challenge them.

Brillaint route. I am looking forward to it. I love the Peyrousourde and Tourmelet. Still feel the tour should have an extra stage in the alps maybe L'alpe du Heuz, Mount Ventoux or Les deux alps. |
