And here the British hopes start to fade - Thomas tailing off from that front group and Millar out of the race.
Time to hope for Froome

Belgium doing very well tactically. Up front Boonen with 3 guys to work for him to bring it to a sprint between the front group. meanwhile Gilbert at the back can conserve energy and follow the favorites around without needing to attack
Moment of indefinition in the peloton now

Did anyone actually think that Millar would last the distance? Certainly not me! |

Yahn-Ik-Uh Brack-Uh-Vitch. Someone needs to teach these guys how to pronounce foreign names. I see it all the time and it kind of infuriates me, especially when Bob Roll does it on purpose because he thinks it's funny.

Without the early crash and then mechanical, then I could have seen him finish at least. Not get a great position but at least finish

Sean Kelly isn't very good at it, but listen to what he says, he's a tactical genius, he usually makes the best calls on races and usual gets it right.
edit: And there's nobody in the world who anoys me more than Bob Roll and that other guy who does the versus TDF coverage.

Millar + World RR*self publicised hype = bad luck/disappointment
Feel free to swap the race for any other major cycling event, i.e Olympics |

Wait, now no one wants to pull up front either. that's interesting. That might very well be the end of them
This is the time when "fleas" starting jumping from the peloton to try and catch the break alone

Just in case any Norwegians were kidding themselves about Hushovd - he was 2 minutes behind the pack on the previous lap and will probably abandon now, if he hasnt already
