not sure, they are in the same time normally, so then the individual tt should decide who takes the pink.. but there was no individual TT yet

Visconti in pink, in same time as Russ, but the sum of the places he did in previous stages is lower than Russ's amount, so visconti in pink
complicated stuff |

Italian national champ in the Italian Grand Tour's jersey. Somewhat fitting I believe.
Another solid 3rd place for Trussov. Someone had better take that into account when the next DB is made. He CAN do hills

Liquigas was giving away the jersey so they don't have to defend it tomorrow, rather they can actually look to race aggressively. Because Pellizotti isn't in the leaders jersey they don't have the pressure of having to chase things down. Now it's all di Lucas pressure as he's defending champ. Good tactics i feel. Plus they still have the points jersey i believe.

It is a good tactic... But only for Bennati... 6min is a big gap, and this year's mountains aren't that hard... LPR, Astana, Saunier and Serramenti PVC were sleeping... Visconti's not a brilliant climber and he doesn't have what it takes to do 3 decent TTs but 6 min is still cutting it close... Especially when he has a whole team now prepared to work just for him...

Bettini said after the race that he is willing to work for Visconti and sacrifice the points jersey in order to help him...
