I think Quintana will be able to gain some time back. But not enough. I don't see a place for gaining a lot of time on mountain stages in post-EPO era.* The attacks simply come too late to do any significant damage - seconds yes but not minutes. The most significant gains/losses to come will be during the Cime Grappa TT. And Uran looks too strong to lose 2-3 minutes to Quintana there.
* disclaimer - that's unless you're Christopher Froome |

Top 5:
1. Uran: destroyed in the time trial, so is obviously in great form. For his sake, I hope it carries into the mountains.
2. Quintana: even being sick, Quintana will still be one of the best in the mountains. If he begins to feel better, I could see him challenging for the win.
3. Evans: looks great so far, but a lackluster result in the time trial makes his success look more like a function of experience than good shape. He will suffer in the high mountains.
4. Majka: looking excellent so far. May usurp Evans' podium spot.
5. Pozzovivo: should perform well in the mountains.

why you guys already thinking that Evans is already dead?
Why he had a bad tt..because Uran beat them all over a minute?
I am also concerned that he wont last 3rd mad week...still he is crazy enough to attack against Uran. |

Because Pozzo, Majka and Quintana are all better climbers than him

Doesnt matter...He is only 37 second behind Uran...Uran can still crack in mountains, not only Evans...I dont think Evans chances are over yet..Imo he is able to hold with Uran in the mountains...But I am not sure about that mountain TT...He can not lose time here otherwise his chances to win Giro will be dead...thats what will be crucial for him...And Pozzovivo? He is too far

Majka still should show that he can keep up all the way.
Quintana is kick ass rider but he is not feeling well..another bad weather day and he is done.

Last year Majka didn't crack, this year he seems stronger to me so I'm confident he will finish strongly |

I feel obligated to bring this news:
Kelderman lost some time in the first part of the TT due to the motorcyclist riding next him, which made him not able to cut corners the way he liked and also made him lose his focus.
Anyway, my prediction:
1. Uran(Looking strong, strong team, current leader.)
2. Pozzovivo(thinking he might be the strongest in the third week, he has been the strongest up to now as well, to me.)
3. Quintana(heavily depends about his state of course)
4. Majka(Doesn't look too bad either, could imagine him to end up on the podium)
5. Evans(thinking he'll crack. Couldn't think of anyone else to realistically end up 5th though, putting my bias aside)
7. Kelderman(Thinking he won't do too bad in the last week. Wasn't bad last year either, and sounds/looks fresh. Can't hold on to 5th though, but still great. )

1. Quintana
2. Urán
3. Pozzovivo
4. Majka
5. Aru
Since nobody (at least at this page, LOL) picked Quintana, I'll do it. I honestly feel that if he can come close to the 2013. he will be able to take it all. Urán seems incredibly strong, but I still think that he only will be the 3rd best in the last weak. Evans will end somewhere between 5-10.

I didn't pick Quintana because he looked very mediocre in 1st week and was totally isolated, definitely nothing like his 2013 Tour form for sure. |

@Jesleyh Are you sure that Kelderman didn't lose any time due to some dark clouds in the sky, which got him scared or something? *kidding bro* |
