Fuglsang 19th? And 18th in GC? That's disappointing, we were hoping for more. |

maybe TT is called hilly by PCM, but remember who won it last year in real life?
so really doubt that hilly stats are so important though..

see your point. but theres always climbers you wouldnt expect to be nice in TT having a good day though.. remember pozzovivo being third in Vuelta ITT just behind martin and cancellara?
i mean there was some hill in there as well, but it wasnt that hard though.

Quintana beating Porte pretty much sums it up, if a rider has a good day... |

AGR not up before tomorrow. Currently giving priority to A: school and B: my story. Tomorrow or wednesday is a guarantee though, unless something really drastic happens

I might be able to post stage 6 tomorrow, but odds are it will be done Wednesday night, if not then Friday.
Current priority for me: School, sports, Man-Game before EPIC, but I have the images uploaded, just have to get the report into the formatting

Give it to someone who will do it soon. A week or so and only 1 stage is too slow Ollfardh.

Hello and a big welcome to all of you. It's time for the next edition of the Amstel Gold Race. We hope for an exciting race. The rain is coming out of the sky, which almost seems like hell now.
It doesn't take too long until the first attack. Ben Hermans, riding for Radioshack, is the first too attack from the pack.
Not much later 11 other riders attack: George Preidler (Argos), Serge Pauwels (Omega Pharma), Benoît Vaugrenard (FDJ), Ricardo García (Euskaltel), Thomas Schwabe (Cofidis), Stefano Agostini (Cannondale), Andrea Palini (Lampre), Yonathan Monsalve (Vini Fantini), Sergey Pomoshnikov (Rusvelo), Rory Sutherland (Saxo) and Assan Bazayev (Astana).
2 more attacks: Daniel Teklehaimanot (Orica)
and Jonathan Tiernan-Locke (Sky).
The next few attacks however are countered by Aleksandr Kolobnev (Katusha), who ensures no other riders will get away.
The group of 14 escapees does get space though. The lead grows to over 2 minutes quickly.
The teams in charge, Garmin, Movistar, Belkin, Katusha and BMC now take it easy.
In the back we have the first crash of the day. One of the most popular riders of the world, Jens Voigt (Radioshack), managed to get up again luckily.
Voigt isn't the only rider in trouble thanks to the rain. It's no other than world champion Philippe Gilbert who falls. He, just like Voigt, manages to reach the pack.
With 200 kilometers left to ride the break has a lead of 5min57. The pack is taking it very easy now.
With 179kms to go the break starts on the Cauberg for the first time.
The weather makes some more victims like Giovanni Visconti (Movistar), who punctures, Michael Schär (BMC), who crashes, and Igor Antón (Euskaltel), who punctured to ensure himself of camera time. All get back easily, before the pack even starts the Cauberg.
Next crash is from the break. Preidler crashes and has some trouble coming back to the break, but manages to eventually.
Michael Albasini (Orica) is the next to make a dive into the swimming pool the rain has created.
The time the pack needed to chase was approaching. Now, with 158kms to go, the chase is on. With a lead of 9min50, it does make sense.
More and more victims of the rain. First Mikael Chérel (AG2R) punctures, then another favourite crashes. This time, Delfi Cervero (FDJ), is a victim. Brambilla is another one. Meanwhile we've just done over a half of the parcours. With an increasing pace, more crashes are bound to happen.
Once again some victimes. First Wout Poels (Vacansoleil), then Chris Anker Sorensen (Saxo) has trouble.
Next Cauberg. With +-80kms to go, the lead is just under 5 minutes for the break.
With 50kms to go the lead is under 3 minutes. Movistar and Omega Pharma are pushing the pack to an incredibly high pace.
With 45 kilometers to go some good news. It has stopped raining. Surely this will mean less crashes.
With 40 kilometers to go the first attacks from the pack for quite a while. Some big names: Luis Leon Sánchez (Belkin), Rigoberto Urán (Sky), Alejandro Valverde (Movistar), Joaquím Rodríguez and Simon Spilak (Both Katusha).
With 38 kms to go Michal Kwiatkowski (Omega Pharma) joins them.
With 36kms to go it's already over though.
In the break it's also a chaos now. Bazayev tries to get away. Palini, Preidler and Vaugrenard join him.
A new attack from the pack: Spilak, Rodriguez, Sanchez, Valverde, Gilbert, Kwiatkowski, Betancur, Uran, Henao, Cervero and Roche attack.
With 22kms to go new attacks from the pack. Sagan, Moreno, Costa, Sithembile, Gerrans, Dan Martin and Mollema attack.
With 15 kilometers to go Tiernan-Locke is ahead alone, half a minute ahead of a big group of favourites and the remainders of the original break. Behind that another small group. The small group leads by over a minute to the pack.
With 12 kilometers to go Tiernan-Locke is reeled in by the favourites group.
With 10 kilometers to go Valverde, Rodriguez, Gilbert and Betancur are in the lead. Just behind are Spilak, Kwiatkowski, Uran, Martin, Sanchez and Henao.
With 5 kilometers to go Betancur is dropped by his fellow leaders. The final descent before the Cauberg starts.
With 3.7kms to go we reach the Cauberg. Kwiatkowski and Spilak are catching the leaders.
With 3 kilometers to go we have 11 leaders, although those in the back seem to be suffering.
With 2.5kms to go 4 of them have survived. Henao has reached Rodriguez, Valverde and Gilbert.
With 2 kilometers to go Gilbert and Henao are dropped, while Valverde also seems to be suffering.
1 kilometer to go: Valverde is hanging on, while Gilbert also seems to come back.
With 200 meters to go it's pretty clear though.
No changes at the line. Joaquím Rodriguez wins the Amstel Gold Race!
Gilbert hangs on for 3rd, beating Henao.
