Here we go... K.Reus(RIJ) is the first to attack..

S.Henao, A.Mironov(RVC) and D.Mucelli(CEF) join the dutch rider...

Cannondale leads the pack, nearing the Int. sprint, escapees have 3´08"gap..

28kms to go, Cannondale decides to put more riders at the front of the pack with the kom sprint getting closer... gap is 2´07" now..

With 1km to the top, D.Mucelli fights to stay at the front... some riders attack from peloton..

S.Henao uses his last energy to launch an attack and win some points at the top..

D.Mucelli cracks within last km... peloton is closing in..

Only a couple of meters to go.. G.Meersman(OPQ) comes very fast from behind..

.. but D.Mucelli hangs on and take the win... great ride..

It´s a long way, not the best weather today but B.Bookwalter gives it a go anyway..

Few kms later, some other riders do the same, Bookwalter is 1´45" ahead..

Bookwalter is caught by those riders still before Int. sprint, peloton rides 10´45" behind..

While peloton is reducing the gap, 8´45" now, the breakaway group reach "Passo Lavazé", cat 1 climb, 16pts await on top..

With the weather getting worse, B.Bookwalter leads the group, he´s trying to drop some of the riders here.. 7´36"gap to the pack..

Almost on top, S.Clarke(UHC) attacks, A.Txurruka and Bookwalter counter...

..but on top, it´s G.Bennett(RLT) who gains the 16pts..

20kms to go, the breakaway is about to get reeled in by the small peloton, 40 riders only.. J.D.Atapuma and G.Brenes still here..

With the break still at the front, J.Coppel attacks... Atapuma comes to peloton´s front..

9kms to go, Coppel´s attack didn´t worked out, G.Bennett still in front as breakaway last survivor.. Atapuma is closing the distance..

Seeing that the riders behind him were struggling, J.D.Atapuma decides to attack...

.. but among those struggling riders, there is one wich looks strong enought to challenge Atapuma... C.Horner catch up with our rider with an impressive strenght..

Atapuma tryed to keep with Horner but soon got droped by the american veteran.... J.Fuglsang catch up with Atapuma..

With this show of strenght, C.Horner takes the stage and GC lead..

2´32... this is the time Atapuma needs to win from Horner...

Heading to the 1st kom sprint, B.Bookwalter leaves the peloton behind and tries to catch up with the first break.. A.Txurruka(CJR), L.Pierfelici(UNA) and R.Sutherland(UHC) are the ones ahead..

With 2,5kms to kom sprint, 5´23 seems to be a good gap already but for peloton , the break looks to be closer then that..

Key moment of the race, CyclingTeam De Rijke´s captain, E.Battaglin 16th GC +6´47" and Bardiani´s Co-Leader S.Pirazzi 56th GC +21´56" attack from the pack..

Seeing this could be a good duo for a break, G.Brenes 23th GC +10´26" decides to attack too and catch up with the italian riders..

After some high heart beats, they manage to stay clear from peloton.. 6kms to Int. sprint, they have 2´24" gap to the pack while the main break group is 4´52" ahead..

Peloton continues to loose time for them, now with 5´23"gap, this break might challenge for stage win today..

The stage reach its final 60kms with E2 getting closer to E1.. peloton is 6´14" behind..

Both breakaway groups are together now.. they need to work well if they want to bring it untill the end..

Last climb, 18kms to go.. Bookwalter worked hard and well, he gets droped by the break.. peloton is 3´04" behind..

1km to the top, Battaglin, Brenes and Sutherland attack..

After this last kom sprint, F.Schleck(RLT) 11th GC +6´05" and R.Kiserlovski(MTN) 5th GC +3´31" get away from peloton..

J.D.Atapuma decides to attack too but some riders counter...

2nd GC placed J.Fuglsang( number 11) looks to be in dificulties..

..thats what i thought but... Fuglsang attacks and tries to catch up the train.. Jamis Colombian young talents, S.Henao and A.Ospina are riding really well today( both infront of Fuglsang)..

Breakaway manages to bring it untill the end... final sprint with Battaglin leading... Brenes is loosing craft..

E.Battaglin wins the stage..

Final stage, first attackers.. M.Gaia(BAR), M.Medina(AND), A.Mironov(RVL) and S.Henao.. J.Hoogerland(VCD) follows behind.

Peloton reach the climb where kom sprint is placed with some riders trying to escape.. E1 is 4´17" ahead..

At E1, Hoogerland and Gaia droped the others in the break after the kom sprint..

8,5kms to ride, J.D.Atapuma decides to give it a go... Hoogerland and Gaia are about to get caught.. J.Fuglsang cracks while C.Horner looks strong enought to keep with Atapuma´s pace..

.. but Atapuma sees that Horner is struggling too and decides to attack..

5kms... Horner and Fuglsang manage to keep close to Atapuma... Caruso, Chaves, Kiserlovski and Firsanov catch up with them..

Atapuma fights hard to stay infront but E.Chaves rides strong today and brings Caruso, Horner and Fuglsang on his wheel... 2,5kms.

Finish line is getting closer.. Atapuma still leads..

Despite Atapuma´s efforts to win the stage, it´s C.Horner who wins.. Atapuma finishes 4th..

SKY´s main sprinter S.Modolo wins 1st stage... J.Keough brings us a top10 finish..
