So...So...Boring. Please make it stop now. Nothing against you Atlantius, you're reporting it as well as possible but this race is such a waste of time. |

Of course, just an habit of me
OT: Yay, Coquard made 5th. A podium now would be nice.
And I really want San Luis to be finished and Algarve to be started, it could bring in lots of points for Europcar

Stage 6: Sealine Beach Resort – Doha Corniche
*** Favourites ***
Cavendish (OPQ), Kittel (ARG), Goss (OGE)
** Outsiders **
Brookes (BAR), Boonen (OPQ), Nizzolo (RLT), Matthews (OGE), Markus (VCD)
* Can’t be underestimated *
Coquard (EUC), Hushovd (BMC), Sinkeldam (ARG), Phinney (BMC), Richeze (LAM), Impey (OGE), Kennedy (MTN), Petacchi (OPQ)
The by far hilliest stage this far. Not that that’s saying a lot, but still…
Shaqif is one of the many rider, who still believe in the chances for a breakaway.
Bertazzo takes the intermediate in front of Mironov and Bazzana. The break still haven’t gotten a proper gap.
RadioShack show themselves at front right from the start determined to redeem themselves after yesterday’s complete failure.
In the end 11 riders are allowed to go away. They are Caethoven & Chekyakov, Mironov, Gène, Belkov, Bazzana, Lighthart, Bertazzo, Juodovalkis, Verschoor and Roth.
With 60 km to go they have 4’30’’
50 km and 3’45’’
Looks like Argos and Orica has things under control as usual.
40 km and 3’05’’
30 km and 2’10’’
Belkov is gone from the break due to a puncture.
With 20 km to go and a gap of under a minute Mironov gives it one last shot along with Bazzana.
And then with 16 km to go we have some drama in the peloton. Reda is the first to go down, but he takes others with him.
Shaqif and Van Avermaet are among the ones tasting the tarmac while Devolder just slips by in the last moment still losing contact with the peloton.
With OPQS, Argos and Orica chasing with all they’ve got the break is doomed with 12,6 km to the line. Another sprint it seems…
With one round to go all the sprinters are in the front part of the peloton.
Nizzolo follows Orica into the final 5 km
This is where Cavendish is placed with just over 3 km to go!
2 km Matthews is leading out Goss, still with Nizzolo on his wheel.
Sinkeldam is coming with Kittel on the other side of the road and Cavendish is placed 16th at this moment.
Nothing much changes until Nizzolo puts in his move under la flame rouge. Cav still not in the top 10!
Very close between Goss and Nizzolo with 500 left.
The Australian takes the final stage as Argos once again mistimes Kittels leadout.
Spoiler The game crashed on the way out, so they look rather weird since I had to recover them from the .cdb via an editor...

Team names and first names are not included in the table in the .cdb so you will have to do without them for the ones out of top 10. Or rather Team=0

Shame Guido missed out another top 10. He really needs a bit more hills to get the best results.

As mentioned above the game crashed leaving the stage, which has forced me to convert the rankings from the savegame.
For that reason all riders in spoilers will not include first names or team names and all time differences will be given in seconds.
Sorry about that, but it is just too much work to put these things in manually for every single rider. Do feel free to ask if anything is unclear

I only see a picture of him behind Sinkeldam when he is done with his leadout
Ollfardh: I think it's more a question of flat. The hill was around 2 % at it's steepest...
He doesn't have any help the last 10-15 km though so he has to use a lot of energy just to hang on to the three trains of death.

Quick updated rider rankings: Cavendish comes close, but Brouwer still in the lead. I'm pretty confident about who will lead the team rankings though
1 | W. Brouwer | 414 | 2 | G. Meersman | 372 | 3 | M. Cavendish | 313 | 4 | D. Moreno | 238 | 5 | B. Jungels | 220 | 6 | A. Kristoff | 200 | 7 | M. Kittel | 190 | 8 | F. Gavazzi | 177 | 9 | M. Goss | 165 | 10 | G. Lequatre | 126 | 11 | A. Dyachenko | 120 | 12 | J. Riquelme | 116 | 13 | G. Ciolek | 108 | 14 | D. Cervero | 99 | 15 | E. Gasparotto | 96 | | S. Henao | 96 | 17 | J. Vanendert | 88 | | F. Wegmann | 88 | 19 | I. Anton | 80 | 20 | G. Nizzolo | 74 |
EDIT: team rankings updated on the first page. This now includes the promised penalties for the big PM, late and/or error(s). Also maybe interesting to know, Quick Step scored a record 615 points here, despite this being a lowest category race, a team time trial and no mountain jersey to be awarded!

Hmm, allright Coquard, another Top 10 is okay.

Not despite, but thanks to it

Nice GC, but the last stage was terrible. We were too confident and that affected our performance. We must get rid of that problem!
But still gratz to Mark and thanks to whole team, for great job in TTT and especially for Boonen nad Martin as great leadouts.
Die hard fan of Tom Boonen and Quickstep since 2004.

Wow, Hushovd right behind Cav. Must have been a bit of a fail from OPQS .
That race was a disaster but I can sleep easy knowing it wasn't my fault. That was almost the best eight riders I could send and OPQS turn up with that team! . Good ride by Phinney to get 14th anyway.
Also, well done Atlantius. The most tedious race ever in the history of everything and you did it. Pat on the back . |

Good reports Atlantius .
I was so close with 2 riders in the breakaway, but you never know ... in the future.

Perfect race for OPQS in Qatar. They take a huge lead in the team ranking now.
Hopefully San Luis will pick up soon, because it's a bit boring considering I have no races till Omloop. |
