After being slightly disgusted by that stage..
I wonder if a forced BMI index (around 19-21) in cycling could help being slightly less disgusted in the future.

I think only guy who could have chased Froome was Quintana but he was already blown getting over 1st climb. Movistar used wrong tactics, should have kept him in peleton too.
Froome has already won this one. We want any other challenger, we will have to wait 1 year till Nibali comes to TdF. |

This is too obvious, he is almost as good as Armstrong in his top years. |

Kreuziger, if he hadn't had to tow Alberto, he would probably finished 3rd. |

I'm speechless. This is off the charts...

I'm sorry, Cycling will never get out of the doping era...It's here to stay for a long time.

I wonder the time of Mollema on the second part of the climb and that one of Froome. Think Mollema was even faster than Froome on that second part. |

If it makes you feel better, it's always been there. Of course EPO and blood transfusions are much more effective than the stuff they were riding on pre-1990's. But PEDs has been a part of the sport since the first bicycle was made. |

So, the experts predicted ~ 470W and he basically smashed that to bits? |

And can we please bury the "Contador is just peaking for the Tour" argument?
He's old, get over it He reached the top young, so he declines young. Perfectly normal.
Martins saying it's going to be the best Tour of the last 10 years. That's too stupid even for him
True, he is really done with winning most likely. I hope Riijs will be sane and let Kreuziger ride for his own top10, instead of dragging Alberto around.
Let him go for stage wins. Kreuziger is to inconsistent, he knows that. He wasn't going to win today, so pacing Contador was the right thing.
Chris Froome was just asked who he saw as his greatest competitor. His answer was "jokingly" Ritchie Porte. |

Some are clocking it at 21:41 which is still a ridiculous 6.51.

I "just" read about 6,3w/kg.
Not that it would change anything. |

Mollema rode his own speed and didn't blow up himself. That's why he passed everyone in the last kilometer.

6.8 has to be wrong.
6.3 is "only" 1990s Tour de France winning form

Yep. For example Contador tried to follow, blew up, was passed by Schleck, recovered and finished 45s ahead of Schleck

Someone who is second in Tour du Suisse and 4th in the first really hard climb stage can't be 77 Mo off course.
Mollema deserves better in the future db, I even think he can do better...
Ten Dam was also great last year in Vuelta... |

So, let me get this straight;
almost the entire peloton is riding on lower wats and doing slower times than ever, except Froome who bashes the times set by Lance and Ulrich 10years ago?
Seems like 1.30 is now a marginal gain...
