Yeah, Pacers definetely looks atrocious with George and Stephenson gone. Not looking good for them.
Got curious of who your favourite team/players are. My fav is Steph Curry who I began to like when he played along Monta Ellis. They never won anything or even got close to, but those 2 were fun to watch and Steph will go down as one of the purest shooters in history. For the same reason, I like GS. Too bad the West is so tough.
Other players I like is Rondo, Durant and Irving. Rondo has always been one of the best PGs in the game to me and one of the most fun players to watch when he is rolling, like he almost always is in the playoffs. Durant is just pure. Who doesnt enjoy watching him play? Same thing for Irving on a little lesser level, but has all the components skill wise to become the best PG. Oh, and I also love Faried. Denver was definetely one of the most fun teams to watch 2 years ago with Faried, Lawson, Gallo and Iggy. |

I started to like Harden in his Oklahoma City days, then I started supporting the Rockets because of him. After watching plenty of Rockets games last year, I really like D12 too, he really matured in Houston. From the smaller names in the team, probably Canaan is my favourite, but D-Mo is another player I like.
From other teams, my favourite is Kyrie and also Josh McBob. McRoberts is a real passing wizard, little similar to Diaw in that regard.
Kyle Korver as well!

Maybe TMM is like that

So, surely the Cleveland sports curse can't stop a team with LeBron, Irving and Love on it winning a title. |

Why are players almost obliged to move to their home city now?
Pressure on Durant to go to Washington in a few years.. like no...
OKC is his new home.

Nice analysis, really strong team if it all goes this way. I demand title right away.
I would also follow Timberwolves with Wiggins, I always had a sympathies for that team (since KG-Starbury duo) and they have the nicest floor in the league.

I just noticed that Timberwolves didn't just get Wiggins for Love, but Bennett and 1st pick of 2015 draft. With LaVine & Robinson, Pekovic & Rubio and these guys above, they're really going to have a nice team this and next few seasons. Looking forward to see what they can do!
Will be interesting to see what can Love do in Cavs, too. I personally think they won't get a title this year, but "only" division final or something like that. Don't think the new "Big 3" will work together.

Well I've always liked the T-Wolves, since the K-G days and when they drafted Mayo, so I will cheer for them now

Officially - Bennett in 76ers and Young in Wolves! I can't believe 76ers GM actually accepted this trade offer, but I am fine with that. Another good player in Minnesotta is making me happy, though Bennett might finally show some class in 76ers, adapt properly and show that he maybe wasn't waste of 1st pick last year. What's certain is that 76ers are going to have one hell of the team in next few years!

I hope that's motivation for you to start up that 76ers 2k14 story again!

I demand a 76'ers story! Interesting team on paper, rock bottom in East in reality.
Just felt like I would give a little update in here after the FIBA World Cup. Irving was obviously lights out in the final against Serbia - knockdown shooter and an underrated floor general when he has talent around him. Love and Irving brings something completely different to the table than Bosh and Wade (elite shooting) and at this stage of their careers, they are better players. Cleveland is my favourite to win the NBA since they only have to bypass the Bulls and either Spurs, Clippers and Thunder in the finals (maybe even GS - no fanboyism). Maybe a little.
Rose, although his stats are absolutely horrible, I think has play fairly well. He lacks confidence in his shot at this point, but have shown some glimpses of the MVP he once was. I don't what to make of him so far, but athletically, he looks like he is back. Pau Gasol has played lights out though and is 1000 times better than Boozer. I really like this Bulls squad who also have added McDermott whom I really like.
Klay Thompson has shown why he can be considered one of the best SG's in the NBA. Lockdown on D, lights out shooter and can actually penetrate well and dish etc. Curry hasnt played that well, but thats partly due to him playing a lot of the ball. In my opinion, he is better with the ball in his hands like in GS. He is by the way my outsider for the MVP this season if Golden State manages to get at least a 4th spot out West.
Faried has shown why he is the manimal, out hustling nearly everyone. More importantly though, he has shown some progress offensively on the block with good hooks etc. I could see him having his best season after this experience on a fairly mediocre Nugget-squad (compared to the competition..)
Cousins is a beast. He isn't nearly the headache he once was and played really, really well today (Im sure admit will agree, haha). Too bad that him and Gay won't come close to the playoffs, but I think he will actually have an even better year and become an all-star.
Davis is, as Cousins, just plain and simple a beast. Many have said that he this season already will be the 3rd best in the league which I think is wrong, but he will undoubtedly take another step this year on actually a very decent Pelicans squad which I really hope will make the playoffs. Evans, Holiday, Gordon, Andersen, Asik and Davis are really really good. And Austin Rivers as well, I somehow like this guy.
Harden is just turrible on D and he will probably never be a reliable guy there. But this guy can flat out score. With Parsons gone, Harden will look to score even more and could even have an outside shot of a scoring title. I don't like him particularly much (although I more or less like all the stars in the NBA) and the same goes for Harden, but this team still has elite talent, but they could end up at 6-8th spot with Mavericks, Golden State and possibly Trail Blazers and Grizzlies looking better. |

@Riis123 - There was an attempt, but it completely failed. I even tried bringing it back and wrote an update, but never decided to post it. I am playing a bit of NBA 2k now, so might actually do so. Not sure.

Sacramento Kings retire no.16 in honour of (in my honest opinon) one of most underrated shooters in the history of NBA and one of the best Serbian basketball players ever, big Peja Stojakovic.

Some odds for the upcoming season:
Raptors win Atlantic Division, 2.20
Wizards win Southeast Division, 2.80
Western Conference wins finals, 1.90
Central Division wins finals, 2.80 (basically only Cavs and Bulls can win from East, to this is a very good option imo, especially paired with the odds above)
Steph Curry wins MVP, 31.00
Nerleons Noel wind Rookie of the Year, 8.00
Elfrid Payton wins Rookie of the Year, 31.00
James Harden wins scoring title, 12.00
Rubio with the most assist, 15.00

..aaand Lakers against Houston at home on opening night for 3.70. Very good value for me. Houston are the obvious favourites, but Lakers definitely can win this, even if they start Carlos Boozer. |

On Houston --
We'll be fighting for a 6-8 seed this year with Parsons out and Ariza having been given his retirement contract. I am just clueless at the moment where they are heading, the problem is, there's just not much room for most of these players to get better. Harden can improve a bit but he'll never be a top 5 player, Jones and Beverley are solid but not anything more. Howard is only going to get worse after this season.
Not that it's good or bad (it's actually nice to see from a fan entertainment standpoint), is that Morey is consistently trying to get this team from mediocre -> good, not mediocre -> tank -> good. It's a much harder process but when's the last time you remember Houston tanking, or finishing Bottom 5 in the NBA?
