@millarmind David Millar
If you have tears, prepare to shed them now.
In team car being driven to hotel. Chatting to VdV & spot cyclist on autoroute ahead, dressed in full Europcar kit. Looks oddly familiar.
Chat stops, tell car to slow. As we pass have time to look into eyes of a tired and broken Voeckler. Tragic doesn't come close to describe. |

If offense is the best defence, does it mean that defence is the worst defence?

What a win! I knew Cadel would smash Andy's time, so good job to him. Great ride by De Gendt too, I wasn't expecting that from him.

Having stayed up so many late nights watching Cadel battle in tour for last 7 years, all I can say is "you beauty". Magnificent effort mate!
+1
Greatest night of sports ever, not only did Cadel win the first ever tour for an Aussie, but the Wallabies smashed the Springboks as well! |

They're "solemates". They have the same brand of soles, that's all.

I was pulling for Cadel this tour, and he delivered in a really big way. Really I am glad that there is at lease some one who can TT, and climb (Contador, has gotten better at the TT).
Now to see if Voeckler can believe in himself, as I believe he is capable of winning the tour. He keeps telling him self he can't do it, but I think he was even better in the mountains at defending the yellow then when he was facing off against Armstrong. But still to finish 4th overall is amazing for him.
What an exacting tour this year, and we still have 1 more stage to go for the sprinters. Will Cav win again, or will someone else beat him. |

What an absolutely historic day for Australian cycling. I'm not really one for nationalism, but today I'm really proud of a fellow countryman. It is hard to imagine what this could do for the sport in Australia.
Great work Cadel.
This win, combined with Green Edge next year...
Now is a great time to be an Aussie cycling fan! |

Very sad. But Voeckler was one of the best things about this Tour. |

No offense meant Aquarius, but corticoids are also steroids
Their full name is corticosteroids. True. But anyway not all steroids are corticosteroids, right ? HGH, for example, is not one, I think.
And it's only the corticoids that have been shamefully legalised, not the whole steroids class.
HGH (Human Growth Hormone) is not a steroid but a protein.
Not all hormones are steroids.
Not all proteins are hormones.
Cortocosteroids have various pharmacological activities such as for instance anti-inflammatory. You can e.g. use them to cure a tennis elbow or certain skin diseases.

Evans isn't even that much of an all-rounder imo. He can climb (hilly stages included), TT, and is a fairly good descender.

Omg, I can't believe he made it! It's a dream come true for him and also for me. I'm so happy for him.
Next: Vuelta I hope. He told me before the Dauphine there's 70-80% that he will ride the Vuelta too. We'll see. |

Yes but thats it. Hilly stages/classics, Mountains, TTs. He's also alright for a GC rider at Cobbles, but nothing that merits best allround rider imo.
Geraint Thomas is a better allround rider imo. Cadel just climbs and tt's.
