Disappointing that Benna cannot get up there in the sprints after showing obvious form in the vattenfall classics.

I think Nibali deserved his luck in Poland for all the good work he has put in over the year!!!

Looking forward to Basso and the Vuelta, inceidentely how is your protour ranking coming along?

yeaah we have reason to wait Vuelta..I had a chanche to peak startlist..season best.
Profile is not for climbers..we cant make any mistakes there every hill will count..
When in Giro Basso was hugh favorite..then in Vuelta he is one favorite of 5..

Yeaah you are right I should post protour rank also..

(sry. I cant post stage result ..there was messed up result tabel..GC result should be mach..)
What to say about tour..this was new experience for Liquigas and for me..Next time I will be smarter..I was expecting that winner will be sprinter who can make ok TT result..but to win this you will need cobble classic type flat animal..with TT ability..I should have play this all the way for Quinziato..but in final GC Quinziato 8th. and Bennati 14th. not..bad

ok..I have another idiot question..

First time in PCM08 game i'm involved as national team captain..

Mail..wich stop me moving forward..
Final pre- selection for national team..? Ok..but where..how?

alexkr00
go on the RACES tab. Then National Team. There you have something like a new window and new tabs with Information, Road Race, Time Trial. Go on one of the last two and 'tick' the riders you want in the national team. That's it and they ussual respond with something like `It's always an hour to represent the national team...`.

Stage 1
TTT Granada

i706.photobucket.com/albums/ww68/teemeuue_2011/PCM0090.png
Welcome to Vuelta..tour will start with TTT..stage is short enough to avoid Liquigas TTT skills total disaster.

i706.photobucket.com/albums/ww68/teemeuue_2011/PCM0091.png
Caisse...Valverde must be "dead" after five months top form races....Finaly they give Pereiro chanche to be team captain..also co captain Arroyo.. At least I am happy to see Caisse without Valverde.. (season planning mistake..Vuelta profile is perfect for him).
Today..8th. (+ 8 sec.)

i706.photobucket.com/albums/ww68/teemeuue_2011/PCM0092.png
Basso is back in the "big game" after Giro.he has been avoided all big races between Giro and Vuelta, Kreuziger has Basso main support , flat power Quinziato, Franzoi and sprinter Bennati...today 19. (+20 sec.)

i706.photobucket.com/albums/ww68/teemeuue_2011/PCM0093.png
After dominated TdF Evans is also main favorite in Vuelta..team was fastest today..Jacobs will take golden jersey.

i706.photobucket.com/albums/ww68/teemeuue_2011/PCM0094.png
Quickstep..Devolder is back after Eneco strong ride. Chavanel is in the lineup..they decided not send fastest sprinter at the moment Boonen. Davis will be sprit threat from Quickstep..16. (+14 sec.)

i706.photobucket.com/albums/ww68/teemeuue_2011/PCM0095.png
Rabobank and Menchov..great tactics for Rabo. to keep Menchov out at the tour after strong Giro (specialy third week)..and keep him ready and fresh as Vuelta champ. title defender. For sprinters here is Freire..man to beat if you like to take points jersey..
7. (+7 sec.)

i706.photobucket.com/albums/ww68/teemeuue_2011/PCM0096.png
Lampre..and Bruseghin. No need to underrate Bruseghin this time..he crashed out from Giro..did not take TdF..and is ungry and fresh to challenge anyone..6. (+ 5 sec.)

i706.photobucket.com/albums/ww68/teemeuue_2011/PCM0097.png
Columbia ..Lövkvist has named as team nr. 1..but we should watch out Rogers there..and ofcorse famous Columbia sprint power Eisel and Cavedish..12. (+11 sec.)

i706.photobucket.com/albums/ww68/teemeuue_2011/PCM0098.png
Contador leading Astana..another hugh favorite..like we have used to it..again strong climbing power around theyr leader..Klöden, Brjakovic, Noval, Hernandes, Zubeldia, Rubiera...again main question will be..Contador has taken so many stage wins but has not won any tour at this season. Will be the Vuelta first one?
3rd. (+4 sec.)

i706.photobucket.com/albums/ww68/teemeuue_2011/PCM0099.png
Saxo bank..weakest Saxo startlist in 2009 GT..we can expect to see both Sörensen's in climbing stage (has tradition already..one of them will be after climber jersey)..and TT power Larsson and Cancellara. 9. (+ 8 sec.)

i706.photobucket.com/albums/ww68/teemeuue_2011/PCM0100.png
Katusha..this russian team has great potential..they can keep theyr best possible Vuelta man (Karpets) home..but I still belive they will be in the picture Gusev, Petrov, Steegman
10. (+9 sec.)

i706.photobucket.com/albums/ww68/teemeuue_2011/PCM0101.png
..Garmin..weak pack..no Vandevelde ..no Danielson. Vandevelde crashed out after TdF third stage..team has weak season..only Maaskant has been visible..

i706.photobucket.com/albums/ww68/teemeuue_2011/PCM0102.png
Here comes favorite nr. 5 Sastre..I belive tour podium will be between Contador, Menchov, Evans, Basso and Sastre. To give someone advantage here?..realy not shure. Realy intresting tour and great lineup. Dont need to forget Euskaltel (Sanchez, Anton)..they are always strong in Vuelta

This ok..I dont like leader jersey after first stage anyway..Wink

Stage 5 TT will be more decisive..after that race starts..

Surely evans cant win another grand tour grrrr. Come on Contador. No offense like Grin basso aiming for top 3?? Could be quite hard

Guido Mukk
I had a request to post Pro Tour ranks..here they are:

i706.photobucket.com/albums/ww68/teemeuue_2011/PCM0010.png
Fränk Schleck leading..rank tabel. After Vuelta I belive we have new leader..this is between Evans and Basso who has both win one GT so far. Decisive will be Lombardia..If Basso will be racing there.
Nibali in 7th. place 412 points is super season for young man..
21. Bennati 188
25. Murilo Fischer 150
32. Roman Kreuziger (I expect he's rize after Vuelta)..119
53. Pellizotti (terrible season for man..who should be nr. 2 in the team) 54
81. Quinziato 21
93. Corioni 15
142. Franzoi 1
143. Kuscinsky 1

Most wins:

i706.photobucket.com/albums/ww68/teemeuue_2011/PCM0012-1.png
Jimi Casper leading this table..thanks to Continental races.
Basso has 14 stage-race wins..also weak tours for GT preparation period..(and Giro)..
Boonen 14 is hugh result..he has been real great at this season..(Milano-Sanremo, Wattenfall , several TdF stages etc...big wins)
Cancellara was leading this table after spring..
Fischer 9 wins. is great ..but this is a guy who has taken several point jerseys. "Stability king" always at the top.
Evans TdF domination and 11 wins
I am surprised that we dont have Contador on this first page..he was so good in Giro mountain stages.

Teams classification:
i706.photobucket.com/albums/ww68/teemeuue_2011/PCM0013.png
Saxo bank still leading..they started roll with Cancellara wins..then succesful cobble season..Ardennes classic..Fränk in Giro and Tdf..They will have weak Vuelta..intresting to see that table after Spain main event..
Liquigas in second...no comment.
Silence in third ..all still open at the top of the table..
And classic..all French teams at the bottom four

I have bigger ambition..he is aming for win. Giro and Vuelta has I sayd in team presentation. No Tdf for this year. Main goal was Giro..and perfect it was (he was beating Contador there). If he wont win Vuelta this isnt hugh dissapointment..but he is in spain after GC win.
Five favorites : Contador, Basso, Evans, Sastre and Menchov

I was thinking surely contador was not on brilliant fitness unless you are a superstar at the game and i think he should be on fitness from the start in the vuelta we will see in the time trial anyway Grin hope you do win anyway. Have kruziger and nibs developed much?? Could you post their stats??? Thanks

Stage 2
Granada - Jaen

i706.photobucket.com/albums/ww68/teemeuue_2011/PCM0001-1.png
We have to run..3 sprinters stages before first ITT..main point jersey favorites are Freire, Bennati, Steegmans, Cavedish, Eisel, de Larrea and Davis..

i706.photobucket.com/albums/ww68/teemeuue_2011/PCM0003-1.png
..and we are ready for Vuelta first mass sprint..everything looks good for Bennati..he follows Euskaltel train (de Larrea)..Cavedish and Freire in the same train..

i706.photobucket.com/albums/ww68/teemeuue_2011/PCM0004.png
...they are to behind at the top of the group?

i706.photobucket.com/albums/ww68/teemeuue_2011/PCM0005-1.png
..and in trouble..Bennati finding himself way to behind. He has marked Freire who has passed him..he follows..

i706.photobucket.com/albums/ww68/teemeuue_2011/PCM0006-1.png
Last corner behore lightly uphill..Brutt is leading..Rabo raider is not Freire yet..this is Tankink..

i706.photobucket.com/albums/ww68/teemeuue_2011/PCM0007-1.png
..and last km. This is hard now to beat Brutt..Bennati still follows Freire..

i706.photobucket.com/albums/ww68/teemeuue_2011/PCM0008-1.png
Freire is amazing..he passes them all..now just Brutt left. Benna on he's backwheel has even trouble to just keep up with this speed..

i706.photobucket.com/albums/ww68/teemeuue_2011/PCM0002-1.png
..and the line. Freire it is..amazing power show. He takes point jersey..2nd, Brutt..3rd. Bennati..Benna need to be greatful for Freire..

Freire is the main opponent for Bennati if you want the points jersey. Steegmans, Cavendish or Davis can win stage but I don't think they have the power to go for the points jersey.
