Hesjedal would be right in the GC contention if it wasn't for Martin's crash. Rather surprised to be honest.
Hopefully friday comes and goes quickly, I want to see some good mountains, but I guess the real important ones will be after the last rest day. While it's sorta a nice feeling of anticipation and the race certainly had its moment of excitement and drama so far, one serious mountain stage at this point would have been nice. Still, all that racing beats the previous Tour de France races, where most stuff has been decided after the first mountain stage. So maybe that's just the right formula for the Giro: To have a huge backload of crazy mountain stages, so that guys like Quintana, Pozzo and some others will attack every day and the leaders may eventually crack. Guess we'll find out, still would think that Quintana - if he comes in absolute top-shape like in the last week of Tour 2013 - has the best cards to win this.

A former Sky rider actually doing well after leaving the team
Doing better not just well. Also Rogers taking his first GT stage the day before too...it all points to Rigo reversing the effect - Sky have turned to shite while he's got even better
Froome will end up targeting the polka dot jersey come July... |

Why? We've not really had any major selection on climbs yet and he's a decent TT rider and pretty good climber so was never going to lose major time today. Im guessing he will lose time on the major climbs later on, but to this point I wouldn't have expected him to lose much time. He won the race 2 years ago and last year was pretty much ruined, by injuries and sickness. Even if he was healthy, his form was pretty much ruined.

If you look at the week 1 thread on page 2 i believe.
This was my top3 prediction:
1. Uran
2. Quintana
3. Evans
This is quite likely
Also put Kelderman in 8th and Pozzovivo 9th.

Before the Giro I expected him to win by atleast 5 minutes in the last week, but the way he has been riding I'm not to sure. He is not out yet, even though Uran looks super strong.

I believe this is a good summary of my opinion of OPQS season so far.
Incredible really, this result got me worried much about Uran and OPQS, what a slaughterhouse.
Also too much good Colombians recently, i found the picture of their supplier.

Keldermann fine, Evans fine, Majka fine, Pozzovivo fine.
Quintana is in trouble now..health will fuck up he's giro.
Biggest loosers was Basso and Kiserlowski today.. |
