So Goss wasn't in the top 2 during todays sprint, is that what you are saying? And if pigs had wings they would probably be flying.
That is quite obviously not what he was saying. Where did you even get that from?
He said that Kristoff only finished in the top 6 on stage 3 because half the peleton crashed, which is correct unlike your original claim he has finished in the top 7 every sprint stage. |

Technically, he has only been in the Top 197 on every sprint stage, he crashed on Stage 1 afterall. And his 6th place wouldnt have been 6th if it werent for the crash on that stage.
Schleck would have won the Tour if it wasn't Evans. That's not a valid argument
No, he wouldn't. He'd have found another way to screw up and somehow finish second anyway. There's nothing to do about that, it'll always be that way.
That was a nice one |

Wrong.
It is perfectly valid when we are talking about whether a performance is impressive.
Quite obviously, a 6th on merit is much more impressive than a 6th place where the big favourite was taken out, which in turn hindered others. Impressive is about who you beat and how you beat them, not simply getting <insert position here>.

He avoided the crash, so he has some credit for his result. Its racing. Cav didn't, too bad for him |

He can't be expected to avoid an Italian version of a Kamikaze pilot, on a bike. |

Avoiding a crash where one rider is 100% to blame is more luck than skill.
We all know Kristoff is a sprinter, albeit not currently one with a fast enough kick at the end of a sprint. The minimum he should be satisfied with is Top 10. If he is getting Top 5s or Top 3s, that is more impressive, but he hasnt even made the Top 5 yet.
Take today for example. The only person he overtook when he launched his final sprint was Geraint Thomas, who wasnt even sprinting. When he launched he was alongside Robbie Hunter, yet Hunter beat him.

Still, there's been three sprint finishes and so far he has a 6th and 7th place. I'm pleased with his efforts when you see the likes of which he is competing against. Just today he as able to hang on when both Hushovd and Farrar dropped.

Did anyone catch if Eurosport commentator got an answer to their question? I mean the one about pro riders who never won even an amateur race.

it only worked because there was a narrow part just before the finish. Give them a wide boulevard and the Sky train are nowhere near the old HTC/Columbia train |

Nice SKY train, they owned it on the narrow roads. Great sprint from Cav again, he is another level together with Goss, the rest of the sprinters are there only for the numbers in the sprint. Also Hunter was impressive.

A lot of the effort in the Sky train comes from Geraint Thomas, if it wasn't for his influence and stamina, i don't think it would be that successful |

Hugh dissapoitment so far have been Rabo sprinters Renshaw, Bos.
They have been lost..only one top 6 and then was Renshaw as lead out man for Bos.
Two sprint crashes probably have been one reason for that.

Pretty much story of the year for them. That's why they they are called Rabobus now Sprints are not their biggest forte this year and Renshaw is clearly not good enough to be a sprinter on his own. The whole team isn't on their best expect maybe Sanchez who gets them the stage wins and Mollema efforts.

But they should be there..sprinters list is not that strong..Goss-Cavendish looks better..and different league. Behind them all is open. |

They will bounce back imo in the 2nd half of the year. Gesink could have a good Tour,if he will stay on the bike and Mollema should be one of the favourites for Vuelta, if he will target it again. But sprinting-wise they are really bad since Freire left.

I know, but it's not like it's expected not seeing them here - looking at their results this year. Bos is suffering from the fall I guess and Renshaw is not good enough. As well as that their train usually sucks... a lot.

The train seemed to work fine in stage 2, until Bos fell ofcourse. Rabo should've taken some guy to get a top 10 and 1 sprinter without train imo.
