In 2004 Rome Total War was released and still is one of the best games on PC ...ever....ever. On par with Portal and Half-Life's of this world
The battles were pure epic, still play it today. But Rome 2 should be amazing. Shogun 2 was great, but I didn't like Japanase history that much, but Rome should be...

Looks cool
But as they announce it now, it'll be a while before it's out, right? |

Well it will be out in 2013. And that's not that far
But finally they announced it.... Rome was the best game in series by far. In Top 5 of all best games ever in PC.
Creative Assmebly were releasing new games like Napoleon, Empire and some thought we wouldn't see Rome 2 for some time. But now it happened finally
If Rome was released in Summer next year, it would be my priority game over PCM by far ^^

I'm glad for you
I might buy it myself after I've seen some reviews and some videos of gameplay |

With Creative Assembly you don't really need to wait for reviews They usually produce very high quality games. You can't compare them with Cyanide
There will be releasing a lot of videos about development of the game and what they will add to it so that should help many whether to buy it or not.
Lol, I will be probably buying new PC just for Rome 2

Rome: Total War, the dream of every little general.
Gosh i spent hundreds of hours with punishing stupid Carthagians and Gallic people for their foolishness.

Btw anyone ever played Europa universalis series or another game for Paradox interactive? I love Europa universalis and the community is nearly as great as this one and makes overhauling patches for it. Brilliant strategic game usually from 1419 to the end of Napoleon.

I did. Was a demi-mod for quite time on the forums, but then I didn't have time to maintain that function
My favourite was EU II by far and the one that I played most. EU III is amazing though. EU : Rome is brilliant as well.
Never really got into HOI series though.

Absolutely, i played it for years, not so long ago for last. Many countries were ruling the world under my hands. The best was France save when i controlled almost the whole Europe, South Africa, Indonesia and almost whole north America.
Cracking game, now in 2012 the game called Magna mundi should be relesed, made by the cooperation between Paradox and modders of Magna mundi mod.

Oh I loved playing Spain. Getting the Colombus event and just conquering and colonizng America. Getting so rich AGCEPP mod made EU2 even greater. Playing as Russia was fun too. I forever hate rebels though from my EU 2 time
Magna Mundi should be cracking, War of Roses is the one I await closely too. Looks really fun. Never really got into Mount and Blade though.

So conclusion after three stages of the Tour:
1: Went OK.
2: Website crashed for 4 hours. Got back up, then the admin part crashed again making it impossible to create new articles.
3: Site crashes completely with 8 km to go of the stage. Lots of stuff lost in database crash. It's being recovered, but might take many hours.
Mind you, this is the largest Tour de France website in Denmark. And the app which is obviously also affected is currently the most downloaded in Denmark of the entire market.
Whoever's running those servers should be fired |

I wished Rome 2 would be developed after Medieval 2 was out 2006
Got Rome 1 and Medieval 2
And for Paradox Interactive, I have just Hearts of Iron 2 and 3
