Stage 2 : Amsterdam - Utrecht
This is the first ´real´stage of this years Giro d´Italia! That means the sprinters will get the first chance to take a stage win there. The main favorite is Mark Cavendish while he has an amazing lead-out man with Bernhard Eisel.Tony Martin surely will pull the sprint for them.Grillo,Van Emden,Pietropolli and Ginanni are the main contenders but if they have any chances against Mark?
There were some important names in today´s breakaway such as Leukemans,Paolini,Mazzanti and Flens who won 3 KoM points which means he´s the first one, wearing the green jersey tomorrow
When the escapes were caught, the pack was divided up into many bigger groups because of a strong wind in the end.But our captains Martin,Cavendish and Eisel could stay in front just like the rest of our team
Van Emden and Pietropolli made a short move with only 3 kilometres to go so they were in front when the sprint began
With only 600 metres to go they were still in front but they had no energy left ´cause they couldn´t sprint anymore so Eisel and Cavendish came really fast from behind
Cavendish is making his move now and it´s gonna be a close finish because Van Emden and Pietropolli are almost standing now
That´s it!Cavendish, our sprint-captain,takes his first stage win on the last metres which means he improved his overall position to the second place, only 6 seconds behind Larsson

That was a crazy acceleration, I guess Cavs acc is 85. Anyway hope you can go for points jersey, try to take early sprints in harder stages too.

4 Jours de Dunkerque
Stage 6 : Lesquin - Dunkerque
After the bad crash of my computer yesterday and the great performance by Tom Boonen we´re expecting a last mass sprint.Of course Boonen is the big favorite there but Bonnet and Renshaw might be able to stop him
With only 6 kilometres to go a few riders were still in front because of the sprint 10 kilometres before the finish.Renshaw took Boonen´s wheel today
When the sprint began,Boonen took the lead while Renshaw and Bonnet tried to follow
Boonen is again really strong and Renshaw has not the legs to beat him today
Boonen takes his first stage win after two second places and an amazing tour by him!Renshaw becomes second in front of Bonnet

Stage 3 : Amsterdam - Middelburg
Today is the last stage in the Netherlands.Again the stage end is made for sprinters like Cavendish,Eisel,Grillo,Vaitkus and Ginanni
With only 17 kilometres to go the first part of the pack was too fast for the rest. They could get a small gap to them while Larsson and many favorites like Basso,Nibali,Pellizotti and Cunego were behind
Our team with Martin,Cav,Eisel and Pinotti was still in front and we could build a great sprint train. It was clear that we had to take this stage ´cause there was no competition for us
Only Vaitkus and Carrara were able to follow Cavendish and his sprint-mates
Tony Martin did a great job and so it was up to Eisel but Vaitkus and Carrara were far behind now!Hopefully Martin can defend his advantage to Larsson and Co ´cause he could win more than 1 minute to them
Cavendish makes his move and everything is going well for us today!
Second stage win in a row for Mark and Eisel makes the perfect double for Columbia while Carrara was stronger than Vaitkus.Martin becomes 5th with more than 1 minute to the big chasing group with all these favorites!!That means Mark Cavendish takes not only the sprinter´s jersey but also the pink one!

Stage 4 : TTT Savigliano - Cuneo
After the good prologue and 2 great stage wins by Mark Cavendish our team is in a fantastic position for the next stages. This time we´ll ride a team time trial which is 32 kilometres long.Team Columbia is the main favorite for today with Tony Martin and Marco Pinotti.RadioShack,Caisse D´Epargne and Garmin should be able to beat us but we´re also watching at the other overall favorites like Liquigas,Lampre and Acqua & Sapone
First important time that was set came from Garmin. They needed 43 minutes and 8 seconds but it seems that this one isn´t the best time which is setting today
Next team was Caisse! They had a great day, especially L.L Sanchez and Brushegin were leading their team.At the finish they could take the lead, beating Garmin by 48 seconds
RadioShack was even stronger than Caisse at both intermediate check points.Popovych,Horner and Brajkovic did a great job today but in the last part of their race, they lost many seconds to Caisse so they were even 2 seconds behind them in the end
Lampre,Liquigas and Acqua & Sapone were already on the road today and they lost again many seconds to Caisse which means that our team with Martin could get more seconds to them in this stage! Our team was far behind at the first check point but it wasn´t a surprise ´cause we saved our energy for the last part while we knew that RadioShack lost many seconds there. We were still many seconds behind them at the second intermediate check point but then Tony Martin and Marco Pinotti took the lead and were leading their team to the finish the last 10 kilometres! And our plan worked, taking the lead by 46 seconds!!This was the next drumbeat by Columbia
