good job Martin and Talansky to hold on in Froome group!
Even Andy Schleck.
Why are people still surprised with Andy? He looks like he's in good form and probably will win a stage in the Alps
If you see what he has done this year (basically nothing) I'm surprised he held on. Yes maybe he might win a stage but he will never win TdF again.
Even Contador cant match Froome. Its guys like Froome, Porte, Quintana, Nibali from now on.
Please, god, no

Wrong. The only rider that probably can match Froome up a mountain in this Tour is Quintana.
Wrong.
Quintana might be good but he is not that good.
Also with a Contador in a form like before, noone not even froom can follow him.
The question is however is how much did Contador loose today and how will he do in the mountains, i dont think he is good enough but we will see.
You don't know that
Nobody here knows that, we'll have to see.
About Froome checking his radio: this is where a team as scientific as Froome gets its ass kicked. This requires gut instinct, and it costs him more than a minute. It's not all advantages. |

I hope Argos and Lotto get slapped heavily tonight, what a disgrace.

OPQS has won the combativity, but the leader can pick it up. |

I am so f***** up i've lost the will to watch this. Costa making a very good Tour in 9th place, despite the crashes and his bad time trial and then on a flat stage a puncture from Valverde, the lack of fair play from Belkin and Movistar decision to bring him back and he loses 10 minutes. WTF!!!
After french television not showing a single image from Rui Costa's time trial this is it for me. |

Contador is 30 not 40 or 80.
And if you look at a riders peak they usally peak from 27-32
So yes he might loose a bit but not enough to let a guy like Quintana beat him if he is in topform.
I think last years Vuelta showed that Contador is still one of the best out there. |

Can someone tell me how the GC looks after today?
There's a fine line between "psychotherapist" and "psycho the rapist"

Costa was never gonna last 3 weeks anyways. He was always going to help Valverda and Quintana when the big mountains came. |

Belkin was already riding, so why should they stop riding? Because someone is going to wait half a minute for a wheel? That's just stupidty of Movistar.

Depends. Eg, Contador appeared a beast at a young age and he's declining young. That's how it goes. |

I can see Movistar playing much more aggressively after today. I bet my balls Costa and Valverde will feature several breakaway attempts instead of just lieutenenting Quintana.
Bad luck for Costa and Valverde, but that's just cycling.

That was probably unlucky.
Not getting Degenkolb into that final selection was dumb.
And Lotto is obviously just as dumb.

Dont understand why people are in jizz mode over Porte and Quintana etc. ... I dont think they can beat Contador, Froome or Valverde yet, just wait till we know something, before saying: "Quintana and Porte can only beat Froome" ... Thats just my opinion

Costa fans should be happy.
Before he was going to try to hang on and finish somewhere in the top20
Now he might actually win a stage

Mollema said after the race they were planning echelons anyway. And they heard Valverde was dropped when they were already riding. He also said Valverde shouldn't complain because he did exactly the same in the past. Obviously referring to Suisse 2011 when Movistar rode when Mollema flatted.
Old bills always get paid...
Try watching that stage. It was Leopard on the front, with....guess who...Andy Schleck.
But yeah, bills get paid. Belkin will suffer for this, bank on it
Ruben always reminds me of Melchett in Blackadder season 4 talking about english and german spies. Switch english for dutch and that's Ruben in a nutshell
Captain Darling: So you see, Blackadder, Field Marshall Haig is most anxious to eliminate all these German spies.
General Melchett: Filthy hun weasels, fighting their dirty underhand war!
Captain Darling: And fortunately, one of our spies...
General Melchett: Splendid fellows, brave heroes risking life and limb for Blighty!
